The Yarha 2!
Quite an upgrade to an already really great Yarha 1. The bow is 1.5 inches longer and has quite a different shape.
But man, what a performer. With 15gpp heavy arrows 170fps. Just the typical “Manchu-kick” but very subtle esp. for a fiberglass bow.
Very well done Alibow. The arrows are a prefect match, so get them directly with your bow. Voucher code “Armin10” is still valid for your first order.
Enjoy the review, even if its a little longer than usual :)
Now on the website the “grape pattern” Manchu, which is 200 USD instead of 150USD. Fully worth it!

and the “normal” Manchu here

Master Armin was so enamoured by the art of traditional archery that he has finally decided to take a manchu identity and guard the plains of central and north asia with this *PRETTY* bow.

Hey buddy super review today...I like the garb . I can see exactly what you're saying in looking at the force draw curve in regards to the draw and the power. This is the review that solidified my decision to get a Manchu...I keep imagining what it would be like throwing the historical Manchu arrows ...on average one meter five and a half inches in length barreled with a point weighing over half a pound. Like throwing sharp logs , I've read that it was common for two soldiers to get nailed together by these weapons....awesome!!!

I stopped watching archery videos because I started bass fishing last year. Now that it’s getting colder and the fish aren’t really biting, I’m getting back into archery and I didn’t realize how much I missed your videos. I’m so happy you keep making videos, and I’m thrilled to see you are still doing well. Thank you for your time and talents 🙏🏼🏹👊

Nice to see you have some fun! I just reached the point with thumb draw where I can shoot safe enough out to a few meters. Of course I started testünk quick shooting from a quiver. Thank your help with those thum draw toturials! By the way I just figured out the Hungarian sandglasd shape quiver is the best in the world. No bias here!

Embrace the culture my friend the outfit looks great on you! Bow seems to perform well for fiberglass. I think the shape is also more historical looking compared to the pictures I've seen of Manchu bows. They remind me of a huge Turkish bow with the shape of this one. Great review as always my friend!

Love the clothes to accompany the bow! I have a suggestion for future reviews, It would be great if you would show the draw curve for the bows you review. I made curves for my bows by recording myself pulling the bow a couple of times on a stick with markings with the scale (and stopping at the markings). Then I just throw in the values from the recording into excel and I have the curve ready.

If you want a little more brace height, you could always put some more twists into the string. That will shorten it slightly, and increase the brace height.

Other than the fact that the stripes are a bit out of the norm (they usually come down from left to right, unlike right to left in this one), this does look appealing

There are a few composite bowyers that may take limited order. However as a owner of a composite Manchu bow I strongly suggest you not consider it unless you are getting really good with the fiberglass Manchu bow, at least 60# under your draw length. Cause mostly like at the draw weight the composite manchu starts to show its performance. And you need to be prepared with the maintenance--you need to adjust the bow’s limb balance and alignment at least occasionally.
@mccarthy86

@@cathayarmory7328 Thanks for the reply. I have Mariners Qing Dragon 2 at 60lb 36 draw. I also have a Yonsun nobi Yumi at 40lb and am very used to the long draw asiatic style. The only thing I need to learn on is the maintenance and care of a composite. Which I would make sure I'm educated on before buying one.

Beautiful bow By the way, wanna ask a bit off topic question. I have a dozen of skinny used aluminum arrow and plan to put in feathers. What length should i put in? is it 3 inch or 4 inch? Arrow purpose is to be used for indoor & outdoor. Not keen to invest different type of fat shaft. Price here is quite expensive
@ArminHirmer
@ArminHirmer Жыл бұрын
depends on the length a bit and what you are shooting. there is no general answer to this. I would go with at least 4"
@jkre
@jkre Жыл бұрын
It usually doesn't matter. The bigger they are, the better they guide the arrow, but also slow it down more. If you shoot broad heads, then it might be necessary ti put big ones, but with field points, small ones are often enough. 4 inch is a good all rounder. I personally use 5" and longer cus I like the look of large fletchings.

I may have missed a comment that explained this, but I think I may be confused as to which bow is which. The Yarha 1 is now discontinued, yes? And the Yarha 2 has replaced the Yarha 1 on Alibow's website? But now, there is the "grape pattern" Yarha 2, which is slightly different than the original Yarha 2? I don't mean to make this confusing, but I was just making sure that the Grape Pattern Yarha 2 is in fact the bow you're reviewing in this video rather than the "original" Yarha 2.

@jkre
@jkre Жыл бұрын
Original manchu bows are not wood bows, they are composites made from sinew, wood and horn glued together, and that even today can take the highest stress of any bow limb, but it doesn't mean its better than modern ones, it just means it can bend more without breaking. And btw, wood bows are not fragile, they last a very long time if used and stored properly. They cannot handle miss treatment as well, but if they are made, used and stored properly, they won't break any time soon. The best part of wooden bows is, that they cost next to nothing if you make them your self (like I do), but it's true, that many bowyers ask horendous amounts from wooden bows, and I don't know what would make them so expensive, they are not that hard or time consuming to make that it would explain a price tag of over 800 (or even way over 1000, witch is still not rare price for them). But there are also plenty of bowyers who sell them cheaper.

Does anyone know anything about Alibows having manufacturing difficulties due to a new Covid lockdown? I ordered a segye from them in the beginning of September, and they still haven't even shipped it. Every time I send them and email, I get a reply telling me to check back in ten more days for a tracking number, but whenever I do, I'm inevitably told to check back in another ten days. They've always done right by me, and it would break a piece of my heart if I learned that they were taking me for a ride.
