I support the talent of people that it takes to keep and sheer animals, clean, die then sell wools to keep us warm and beautiful while the ranchers, homesteaders and farmers go out in all weather to maintain their herds. I learned how to spin so I love the talented people that come together to bring product to market. Stay humble and stay safe.

No objections to this information. Personally, I have found that, in general, the best quality yarns are made in Turkey, but I have found wonderful yarns made in India and China, so that’s not a hard and fast rule. I love yarn too, and I don’t care what its nationality is.

I've been to Turkey 🇹🇷 several times. Its my favourite country outside Scotland! Its the most beautiful country and the people are wonderful. They have a brilliant sense of humour and are brilliant entertainers. Now to their textiles, JUST WOW! Most towns hold weekly pop up markets where they sell everything you can think of, clothes, spices, jewellery and YARN! My suitcase is never big enough. I'm seriously considering taking vacuum packs with me! The creative textile industry over there is enormous and they are the best at it in Europe! When I see Turkey on the label I'm always happy! Why wouldn't you want to buy from a place that literally are the experts at doing it!!!?? 💗💗💗💗

This comment is 2 yrs later. Buying/supporting your country is admirable (speaking globally here). It does take some sleuthing and it is probably more expensive to do. I am newish to crochet and knitting so my yarns are cheap bc I hate to ruin a costly roving until I am satisfied my stitches are worthy 😅. Good on you for encouraging ppl to look deeper. You are terrific, Crystal. Stay you!
