Just wanted to say how much I like the fact that you put the instructions for the whole row that is being stitched at the bottom. It makes it so much easier to follow along. Thanks for the great tutorial!

I had to unravel after a few rows because I decided I wanted it wider and I tried doing back loop only on the single crochet only rows and it really made the arch design pop more. On your yarn the arch is super defined whereas on my cotton it was harder to see so when I switched to back loop only it looked a lot cooler. Can depend on the yarn and personal preference tho. Super cool stitch

You're the Best! I Love how you have the written explanation below your video tutorial, right there on the screen!!! I have been going through KZbin trying to learn new stitch patterns and some have the written instructions in the description section which is very helpful for making items again without having to watch the video tutorials which are also invaluable for clarity, but many don't have written instructions at all and I have to go along with the video and write them out myself.. Which is a pain. So Thank You, Thank You! You're the only one who I've found does this. This pattern, by the way IS gorgeous. Look forward to seeing what else you have, and hope you've got lots! Have a great Thanksgiving. I give you My thanks!😊🦃😘

How do you avoid those holes between the skip 3’s and DC? I’m getting these gaping holes which are starting to look more like a lace pattern than a wave. Your work with the rose color is very neat and and I can’t see any holes in between just a slight one where the 7dcs are crocheted into. I’m using a 5.5 hook with Aran yarn could it be the size of my hook? I didn’t have a 5.25 and can’t get that size anywhere

so if we want to make a baby blanket do we do a series of 14 plus 3
@laurelgirard84752 жыл бұрын
You do 14 chains multiplied by whatever # you need to get the width, and then add 3 to the total. Example: 14 times 10 =140 plus 3 equals 143

I am making a big version of this blanket with a ch of 157 sts. The first 4 rows went perfectly smooth, but the 5th row ends with sc of 7, sk 3 ch and then it says dc in the last ch...Something isn't right. I ended w/7dc in one st, sk 3 sts and I have 3 sts left, thinking I should have 4 sts left and to dc 4 sts in the last st. I only had 3 sts left. I have pulled rows 4 and 5 to check my counts and I am going looney tunes. Should there be only 3 sts left after the sk 3 sts after the shell. Help please. Thanks.

I would love to make this as a baby blanket also as a throw was wondering how many to would I have to chain
@Yarnhookneedles5 жыл бұрын
Kari Wilson well it would depend on what size of a baby blanket you’d want to make. Do you have an idea of size in mind?
@kariwilson57665 жыл бұрын
@@Yarnhookneedles I was thinking 40x50 or 36x36
@janetjojo5 жыл бұрын
@@kariwilson5766 I usually just chain an inch and count how many stitches since it will depend on the size hook as well as how tight or loose you crochet. Or you can even chain about 3 inches and count your stitches and divide by 3 just to get a better average.
@Yarnhookneedles5 жыл бұрын
Kari Wilson I would say make a small swatch and see how many shells you get per 4”. Then decide from that number how many you would need to get your desired blanket width. ☺️

Thanks for sharing this stitch it's lovely But What about a stitch in the chain for the other rows? You only stitched into one row out of the 4... Hi!! I know im late to the video. Ive been working on a top, and the row im trying to start incorporating this stitch on is 105 st long. After trying my first row of this, i realized i didnt have enough stitches to complete a row. Do you know if theres a way i can alter the numbers to make this stitch work on my project?? Thank you!!!!
@Yarnhookneedles3 жыл бұрын
Hello! You’ll just need to maintain the correct multiple as mentioned in the video and you should be good to go! So if you chained 105 just try to get as close to that number with the correct multiple as you can.
@ilikecheese50153 жыл бұрын
@@Yarnhookneedles thank you so much for your reply! I only did up to row 2, but i think im just going to pull it out to start from the top again. Im not sure where i went wrong but i dont believe i ended row 1 correctly. With my amount of st in the main chain, it ended up that row1 ended right after i did 7dc in that last st, and it just doesnt look right. Do you think altering the amount of sc stitches (instead of doing 7, maybe doing 6 or 8) in between would make a difference? Im sorry im so bad at explaining!!😭🤣
@Yarnhookneedles3 жыл бұрын
@@ilikecheese5015 no need for apologies ☺️💕you could try adding the SC in to help you get the correct stitch amount but double check your numbers first to make sure you add the correct amount. If it were me, I would pull it out and start again. Only because, you run the risk of messing up stitch count later on if you limp along in the beginning. Hopefully that makes sense 😬
