I absolutely adore the Disney ILY4ever dolls, not only are the dolls and styling adorable but the diversity means so much to me! As a black girl growing up, I loved Disney princesses, Winx club, pixie hollows, etc and whenever I played dress up with other kids, I always had to be "The black one" Or the most racial-looking character. While I loved Tiana and other black characters, I felt limited in the freedom of what character I wanted to be just because I wasn't white. Other white kids could pick the princess they resonated the most with, and I felt almost bad if I didn't pick the ethnic character (since they usually were already the least popular.) It's really awesome seeing dolls representing girls of all different ethnicities having favorite princesses of different looks, and seeing the line embrace a variety of facial features, hair textures, and complexions. I'm excited to see what the doll line brings next!

I wish I was like you, I rarely see much for latinx (ig its hard to pinpoint idk) and I always end up getting just the white with black hair. I do like that this bit of diversity is becoming a norm tho. Hopefully it stay like that.

@@therealkenny6 Jakks makes the 18 inch dolls, I believe that they make the fashion doll sized ones as well. Disney does not have a factory to make the dolls themselves - they are paying someone. The dolls resemble some older Jakks lines a bit in the faces. They remind me a bit of the Jakks Pacific Juku Couture line which also had inset eyes but much less refined face sculpts.

I tried to get the Elvira doll, but apparently Mattel doesn’t actually put a doll on hold for you while they make you wait in line to pay. So while I waited three minutes for the opportunity to pay for my cart, the doll sold out. I’ve had just about enough money of Mattel’s incompetence when it comes to new MH releases.

I bought glitch and despite not being a playline doll collector she won me over instantaneously. I'm obsessed with her coat dress! The fabric they chose is perfect, not so soft as to be floppy but not so stiff as to feel cheap. The glory pattern on her leggings and top is gorgeous, her makeup is gorgeous just everything works so well. Also I'm fine with the loss of the second outfit if all the clothes from that line are as good as glitch. I picked up some of the previous RH dolls on deep clearance and some of the clothing disappointed me. Too much pleather usage and some of the pieces feel sort of generic. Glitches outfit feels like it's a step below an integrity doll and that's a huge compliment imo.

I love the direction rh/sh is going with makeup! I would love to see more intricate makeup designs in the future. I’m also super glad to see Monique’s braids. I also really love that we are getting more unique face sculpts! I’m pretty impressed with the new shadow high dolls I feel like they completely blow the first wave out of the water. I’m also ok with no second outfits as long as it means that the designers can focus attention on making more unique and interesting pieces.

I got the Zooey electra doll and I have to say that she's even lovelier in person! She's more pastel in color which makes all her makeup pop. Her jacket has working velcroed pockets which was a nice detail. I really hope that shadow high would have fashion packs to buy later for them since she could do with a more alien inspired look. But I don't regret the 25$ to me she was a steal!

I have been waiting with anticipation for you to talk about the new Shadow High since I first saw them. I haven’t been very interested in RH because they all kind of felt the same to me but when I went to target last week and the second I spotted Zooey from the corner of my eye I fell in love with her instantly. Her brown eyes really pop and the Novi Star reference made me fan girl bad… well so bad that my Boyfriend drove us to Target on Saturday so I could get one. 😅 I’m so happy with her, she is stunning from head to toe and I can’t wait to get Monique and Reina. I wasn’t super impressed with Reina at first but the more I look at her the more I love how unique she is! So, I got the Tiana doll from the ILY line and man. I have so many complaints about her. There's no stand. Okay, maybe she's supposed to stand on her own? Nope. Her ankles literally hang down if she's not being supported. Okay, maybe I can just have her sit like my G3 monster high dolls. Wait, they spent all this time on the elbow and knee articulation but none on the hip so she can't sit? She can't look up or down? Come on, y'all. ...and yet I love her and want pretty much all the other dolls in the series. I will deal with the flaws because the dolls and the outfits are so freaking cute. Not to mention that the packaging was SO easy to deal with. I got her, Zooey, and Lily Cheng on the same day and decided to open the ILY doll first. 10/10 got everything out without mangling my fingers and the box broke down flat. Opening the Rainbow/Shadow high dolls after was nowhere near as pleasant of an experience.

The ily 4ever dolls caught me by surprise and I got 5 of 6. I rarely buy a Disney doll. But these I had to have.They are amazing to me me. Its like barbie and rainbow high had a quality baby that got the best of each of them. I also love the entire shadow high 2nd series! I'm absolutely in love with Monique and Zooey! The OMG sunshine makeover line is the first OMG line in a while that I really love. The OMGs were my start to doll collecting in 2021 but I've kind of lost the connection and been way more into the Tweens (can't wait for series 4 to arrive in Germany!) and Bratz. Despite the fashions and the quality, one thing I love about the Barbie fashionistas is them bringing more diversity to the doll market, especially regarding disabilities. It's so cool to have that representation and I don't like that the fashion and the quality kind of overshadow that.

The one thing that's putting me off about Dia is her bob and blunt bangs. I was initially really interested in some of the costume ball dolls that had bangs but after seeing how they're rooted I just couldn't bring myself to get them. The ily dolls threw such an wrench in my game plan (focusing on bratz repros and MH with some RH/SH must haves) I’m looking back on some Barbie lines releases as well. There’s an extra and a signature I’d like, as well as an older lunar new year doll (due to her Mari mold which I love but have no desire to unbox my generation girl) I’m uh, glad Mattel didn’t make the ily dolls and I also wonder if they’ll end up tied into dreamlight valley with all the fashion packs and stuff. I love Disney bounding but it definitely seems like a thing people who aren’t into the concept find a little weird upon explanation, If they kept going and reached into non princess IP there’s a decent chance you’d be able to find a close approximation to at least female character creator avatars and use fashion packs to dress her up

I am obsessed with the Disney ILY4ever dolls. No idea if it's coincidence or not, but the doll's proportions and faces especially really remind me of the recent Disney Dreamlight Valley protagonist (the one you can customize-- it's kinda like Disney Animal Crossing). I think they look sooo cute and there's definitely the $$$$ polish in both the in-game models and the dolls-- but again, it might be coincidence. Also, as an illustrator who wouldn't mind doing packaging art, I think the ILY4ever packaging is soooo cute and clean. It's cool to see the Disney Princesses drawn in a more loose style, while also showing more personality than like, standing to the left and smiling gently. Aurora has her hands on her hips!! omg!! I miiiight have to get a doll just to get that fashion pack (but I am legally obligated to any and all Aurora merchandise soooo)

First, let me say your shirt is so cute ! That is the most perfect and pristine collar I have ever seen Secondly, the color changing LOL dolls are soo cute but I’m not sure I’ll buy them. At least for full price. These new shadow highs look like peak doll design to me. I already bought Monique (she’s def my fav doll ever now) and I think I’ll get Glitch and Zooey when literally any type of sale comes. Still waiting for more LOL OMG Guys. New releases are so rare and none of them have matched up to Cool Lev imo ;c

I feel so bad for the Cleo in the collector editions valentine's day 😭✋ like what did they put my girl in?? It doesn't suit her at all 💀. Cleo's style is she usually wears some type of mummy wrap on her.
