Here's the thing with people defending this with "it's just a joke or of fun! Stop taking it so seriously." Actions speak louder that intent. I'm sure Kooleen doesn't mean anything by it, but her actions are still hurtful. Saying something is "just a joke, just a prank, just for fun" and telling people to not take it seriously is actually indicative of you thinking your feelings matter more than those who feel hurt by what she's done. You're not actually saying to take it easy, you're simply offended that a parasocial relationship you have with someone you don't know did something that wasn't cool and think it reflects on you or in the case of Kooleen if she doesn't even acknowledge this controversy, she thinks her feelings matter more than the people she's hurt. It's a game of whose feelings matter more. It's something many people never learn to recognize or take responsibility for. Your actions still matter regardless of your intent. Apologizing is recognizing that other peoples feelings matter and not just your own. That's why a sincere one means a lot. Even if you disagree with the why people are upset, you still acknowledge that they are hurt. You know your intent was positive and light hearted, but that due to ignorance, misinformation or just bad judgement ended up doing an action that hurt people. Owning up to those instances in life is apart of being human and being an adult.

@@swabe806 She used it for Odd1sout & Domics, because Odd1sout is very blank, and Domics is just drawing Domics. Jaiden has a vtuber and so was used a reference, she then took the tattoos of an irl picture and spliced them onto the drawing, as well the hair being referenced iirc. Besides that there's little to be done about not using an irl reference if any, when you have a semi-realistic style. Doesn't mean she did no wrong, but this is out of proportion, let alone that she likely did not even know what she did wrong since you have to at least watch videos of Jaiden to know what sort of person she is. Using this as fuel to hate her is the worst decision because it can perpetuate spite towards the community, and make them not desire to change their style at all for others.
