This video actually came out like a week late because of scheduling, and I've already sorta finished the next episode but I made some structural changes such as removing the number rating and changing Self/Team Utility with Solo/Teamfight instead. So to everyone flaming me for giving Yone 0 for team utility and synergy don't worry that's gonna be handled in future releases :P

It should be noted btw that Yas can also use W still during R to protect from range offensives and attacks that would kill him I believe. (Basically he can plan out mid-late game if they kept it in.) Yone in fact can't do this because riot BUILT IN that he has to play out his ultimate and a second/.sec? after before making any moves. I've seen this get them killed before against good players too lul (Added onto the fact that I think Yas shield still counts in his ultimate yea?) Also, me geeking out here for lore but saying near the end that ironically Yas is more healthy for his team fits pretty well to me given Yas idea of seeing Yone a slave to honor (Which down right cost his "team" their deaths instead of listening to Yas in the first place, then later Yone reminding Yas and asking why he's running only for Yas to grow into a more mature person even helping out synergy wise with Taliyah back then.)

maybe like anti carry potential could be a good category. because yone is especiialy good at murdering one fed person and the getting out unlike yasuo who has to teamfight almost everytime, which is to his detriment if the enemies have lot stuns. Maybe have an assasination/ pick/ dive potential category and put it directly before or after team utility. i know burst damage is already a category, but a you have a team utility (teamfight) category; nobody would argue argue yas is a worse team fighter, and no one would argue yone is worse at assasinating one person and living. so maybe have a category for something like that. ps. if that category existed you could probably see the points and cumulative and the difference in potential between yone and yasuo would probably be reflected more accurately.

Well, the extremes of the visible spectrum are red and violet, so in terms of light (different than pigments) red and blue could be seen as opposites, blue is very close to violet in the spectrum. Albeit a more literal counterpart to blue light would be orange.

I think Vars forgot that Crowd Control is a utility, and a really big factor at that. Would you rather have someone had a very obvious indicator of CC for your team, or someone who does so unpredictably and almost impossible to react to at some times. For team synergy, would you rather put an Orianna ball to someone who only have one easy to dodge CC and point and click dash than someone who can freely dive inside 5 man formation? I hate Yone but his Team Utility and Team Synergy are his best parts and Vars just straight up forgot about those things.

Cos ppl are fkin stupid, once fed yone can put huge pressure on every point of the map, it becomes incredibly hard to clutch. Whereas his kit may seem incredibly overtuned, it's actually pretty predictable and it's not hard to punish him

I disagree with you on Yone not being a team player. If he hits a 3+ man ult, it basically lines up the enemies to be combo'ed by team mates and requires good positioning just like Yasuo's wind wall.

Completely agree with you, his Grouping is better than Diana's, he gathers enemies almost instantly, stuns them and deals huge damage while Yasuo is more reliant on his team for crowd control for him. Yone doesn't lose too much to his brother.

@@lunacy5510 because its better on paper and not in practice, unless youre going against really shit players with really bad reaction times or just general low elo players diana ult is way better as a standalone ult, yones needs setup and if he just E Rs vs good ppl in a river fight hes gonna just miss, diana can just space in her E range and threaten her ult since theres no way of guessing when its gonna come so she can control really well, yas ult is guarantee if ur knocked up you are dead and it holds people in place, yone ult drags everyone too him so youd have to put all ur aoes at the end of his ult which for champs with short ranges means they have to run for a few seconds first and by then the enemy can already move (also sylas R scales off AP so does every ult he steals so that doesnt matter)

I agree that Yone doesn't have a lot of team utility but to give him a 0 seems to be undercutting him. Yone has knock ups. They aren't for very long but it is still a small amount of cc. His ult also groups everyone together, it can be helpful for AoE ults like Neeko or Amumu. His synergy is minimal but it also deserves to be at least 1.

Its a tricky matchup for sure as Yasuo gets trade priority with his passive whereas Yone especially early needs to react early. And often because of that trade priority Yone needs to waste W to break the shield from far away and it has a pretty long CD without boots. Yasuo also benefits from better in lane mobility cause of his E and his W as mentioned before blocks Yone knockup without much to worry about. You basically need Yasuo to screw up to get the lead on Yone

One major point that I would advise including in such series: "The skill floor/ceiling". Because of that we have 0/10 Yasuo-meme - while Yone has nothing alike in his public image. Yasuo is a VERY mechanically difficult champion to play, both effectively and at all. He has hundreds of ways to approach any situation, and choosing the right one isn't as easy as mashing your face on the keyboard. Meanwhile Yone is very similar to other skirmishers and assasins and champs, and has a very clear pattern of trades and all-ins, combos and how he fights in general. And that is why, despite difference in pick/win rate, most players do not hate Yone-mains or don't joke about playing as him. Yasuo is just much more likely to feed, you need to be at least competent on him to perform - but even a bad player can pick up Yone and perform ok after a couple of games.

The 0/10 powerspike comes from the fact you only need 2 items to be able to 1v1 any champ, even if the slight difference in mechanical difficulty affects their perception, that would mean people should clown the same on a 0/10 yone if not harder, as any smoothbrain buttonsmasher is able to make use of their 0/10 spike whilst yasuo still needs some semblance of skill to pull something off. Furthermore I don't get how you'd say yone mains are not getting hated as much. I genuinely don't know a single person who'd rather play versus yone than a yasuo. It's as you said: playing yone doesn't require half to skill to pull off anything compared to other champions. He'll do the same broken stuff whether you're better or worse, whether you won lane or not and whether your team is better or not

I would argue that Yone does have _some_ team synergy in the form of his ultimate. Being able to group a bunch of enemies together is similar to Orianna's which is great for team mated that have AOE attacks like Illaoi Ult, Leona Ult, etc

I would compare Pyke to Blitz as far as similar kits (hook, speed boost, stun, and good ult) whereas the 3 I listed all have to heavily commit to their stun. Leona and nautilus fly to the target they hit, their next ability stuns, they both have cc ultimates and defensive abilities. Thresh is the same way although he differs very slightly in how he goes about his type of grab, with it being a drag first before he commits and having more team play instead of lockdown.

Not to mention naut and leona both have extremely consistent cc in having a point and click stun, where thresh still has to aim projectile to effectively create an opening.

With how the categories are now, you would likely come to the conclusion that supports are just worse champs. Leona has very low DPS, bad burst, bad mobility, worthless self utility (you usually dont stun people for your own benefit), and no synergies outside of like, Kalista. Yet despite that, she's hugely impactful to her games. So it seems to me that a 10 point scale isn't the right way to compare, at least not an absolute 10 point scale. If you're only trying to compare the 2 champs in the video it should be relative to eachother, not relative to the entire champion list. Maybe the winning champ in the category can have up to +10 points, and the losers always gets 0. As of right now though, I think you've grossly overstated the synergies score for yasuo. Hitting yasuo ult on more champs usually isnt what wins teamfights, unless its a short displacement like rell ult and the yasuo ult stuns them for a bit. Both yone or yasuo win teamfights where malphite hits a 5-man ulti, yknow? I get that Yasuo doesn't have to be up close to capitalise, but 8 points is just too many. How many times does yasuo ult on a big knockup win a teamfight that wasn't already won? Compare that to the number of games won because kogmaw or vayne or ashe scale insanely hard with enchanters, there's no shot that those numbers are close.

Yone is way more busted than Yasuo. I don't play neither, but Yone having a massive game winning ult that CAN'T BE CANCELED, a Leblanc W that deals extra true damage and cleanses you when moving back, a shield that is practically instant and a knock up that has a deceptively large hitbox which also is a dash. Basically every ability is a better or upgraded version of older abilities.

Yasuo was the single most broken champ back in the day, now he is a strong yet balanced champ that can work well with most teams Yone is just... everything bad about league nowadays, STUPID high DMG, 0 Utility other than knockups(one of the few cc types inmune to Tenacity) and just insane mobility and sustain In games I'd take a yasuo over a yone for both teams 100% of the time, because yasuo cant fuck up nearly as bad in my team and is easier to handle if he goes smurf mode on the enemy team A 22/1 yone is litterally unbeatable unless HE fucks up, while a 22/1 yasuo can be beaten if your team just focuses cc to burst them before they can apply lifesteal and bait the long cooldown for his wall For that Yone is technically better, but he is toxic for the game, just like Gwen and just like Viego

Ngl that ult concept sounds really interesting. But really I like it when they are cocky and pick either one into either one and then I win the matchup cause I'm the supreme weeb. This video was really well rounded talking about these points made me realize that Yasuo indeed has utility even if he is feeding he can peel while Yone can't. Overall very well made despite the ratings being somewhat arbitrary it is a good comparison and interesting format.

Honestly, I think this is a pretty cool idea for a video series, and there are a ton of champions to cover, as 80-90% of the champions share a similar kit and/or theme with some others (which would most likely happen no matter what with 157 champions, unless you're DotA). Vex - Lissandra is something I'd like to see. The two champions have a very similar playstyle/role, as they're both anti mobility mid range mages with decent poke, burst, and great teamfighting due to their ability to jump in and instantly CC multiple people, while having a bit of safety from their kit.

I really like the concept, and enjoyed the breakdown a lot, giving numbers to the champs and then ignoring them was awesome(seriously, loved that) my only "criticism" is I'd like to see fantasy or lore as a category champions like Jhin that really nail the theme and lore of the champ within their game play should get some kind of mention at the very least I'd also like to see Aatrox vs Riven the battle of the repeating Q's, W setups, and E dashes

This was really cool! One thing I'd love to see you touch on in future is ease of use with each of their capabilities. Like, a champion can have 10/10 burst but if it's super hard to execute it'll happen really rarely. For me, I like lux's root much more than Morgana because while morgs lasts longer, it's much harder to land. While lux's root is less time, the ease of use will lead to landing it much more often

Good stuff man. I just wanted to mention that sometimes there are similar champions which form similarities beyond just two characters. For example, Darius' E has the same type of passive effect and function as Mordekaiser E, while Darius R has the most in common with Garen R (obviously), so in a sense, Darius is now similar to more than just one champion in terms of his abilities. You can find a lot of examples like this if you mix and match champions.
