You're saving my life. I have a 96% in my class however, instead of lavishing in an A+ (which I have no idea how I have) I actually would like to learn. Something I am unable to do in my current class. My prof has a miserable style of teaching however your style suites me better. Thank you so much. I really wish I could throw my flip flop at my prof...

I love Yay Math! Finally, someone that explains algebra to where I actually understand! You are awesome and thank you! Your approach is so relate-able, People that teach math could learn a thing or two from YAY MATH! I know I already have. I learned more in this 20 minute video than I have all day, trying to do the on-line homework with a text-book that is so hard to follow. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!

My college algebra professor literally talks and teaches the chapters to himself as he writes the subject on the board. It's so hard to connect with him and understand what he's saying. Your teaching method is completely opposite of his which is refreshing, enjoyable and easy to understand. Thank you for updating this video.

Hi there, all you do is distribute the 6 to the 5-2i to get 30-12i. Then just add 1-4i. So your problem should look like 30-12i + 1-4i. Then just combine like terms to get 31-16i. Hope this helps.

I would say a square root of a number x is the number y where x=y^2 ie the square root of 9 is 3 and -3 because 3^2=9=(-3)^2. But the radical symbol √ ̅ only takes the principal root of the number x, hence it take only one value (the positive one). At 2:57, you said it right, but your writing didn't. It becomes all inconsistent when you "operate" these terms at 9:30 when you didn't take the negative square root of -4, but only the positive root. Simple, the radical symbol gets you only the positive root.
