Those students have no idea how lucky they are. I wish I had a decent math teacher in high school. Sure, it's my fault that I'm no good at math at the end of the day but if a teacher can make it fun and get students interested while still being productive the results are fantastic. the distance formula for a point on a cordinate plane is D = (X2 - x1)(2) + (Y2 - Y1)(2). I still don't know what use I'm ever gonna have of it later in life, but I can thank you for making me finally understand how it works. I tip my hat to you sir.

So, when you're looking to factor what's under the square root, is it safe to say that you should look for a prime number and a perfect square? So, square root of 80 should factor to square root of 5, times square root of 16 and NOT square root of 4 times square root of 20. Yes?
