Just to be safe, speak to the caterer that you want the Kartoffelpuffer to be vegan. Sometimes they are cooked in butter, but they can easily use oil as well

Most kartoffelpuffer recipes have egg as a binder. They are vegetarian, but not vegan. If they want vegan, the caterer would need a different binder for the potato pancakes, but that could change the flavor and consistency.

I'm German and Currywurst with Fries would be a dream to have at a wedding! The one you were trying in the video looked so good too! On another note, when ordering the potato pancakes for catering be sure to specify that you want them vegan as they often have egg as a binding agent and sometimes are fried in butter!

Good call on the green beans! I'm not a spicy food eater, but I have personally found that if green beans are "seasoned funny " in any direction (hot spices, savory spices, even just sweetened), they can cause some "strong digestive problems" later. No idea why that is, but I experience it and have friends with the same complaint. Green bean seasoning should be light!

Is speck a pork product, on the green beans? I have noticed a lot of bacon in vegetable dishes with German food. Please watch for hidden butter, if anyone doesn't eat dairy or is a vegan.
