for me, one pro of a Ybell over a KB is the even weight distribution. Since the KB's weight is 90% in the body, say you do a clean and the KB swings around your hand and hits your forearm, it hurts. The Ybell doesn't.

The uneven weight distribution of a KB is one of many features that makes it so practical and versatile. It forces you to practice stabilization, balance, technique, focus, etc. Everything you grab in everyday life is rarely of equal weight distribution.
