I'd never heard this band before I saw the trailer for the new The Gorge movie from Apple TV+. Such an awesome trailer! After hearing this song, I immediately found this official video and daaamn this song is so freaking amazing. I usually don't like that many new songs from the West but Yeah Yeah Yeahs really capture the magic of nostalgic and modern at the same time. A true banger indeed!

I discovered Yeah Yeah Yeahs as a teen just before my first breakup. I bought Fever To Tell after listening, spellbound, to the entire album in a record store. Somehow, every album has struck a chord with my position in life as they came out, and now, I'm recently divorced, unsure about my job situation, and looking for a new place to live with no real aim - other than the same feeling I had when I first listened to Pin, Date With The Night and Poor Song: It's alright despite the chaos, we're all human, and we'll figure it out. We're at the edge of the world, spitting at the bullshit draining our world, we're the children of the Sun. I look forward to September. I needed this. Thanks guys.

Same as others say, it was such a surprise. Just a year and 2 ago I was saying I was sad that she does not do more music. I understood her choice, family and what not, but the talent. So cool to really hear this beautiful band and voice again.

Cowards! Here’s the sun So bow your heads In the absence of bombs Draw your breath Dark Dark places shall be none She’s melting houses of gold And the kids cry out We’re spitting off the edge of the world Out in the night Never had no chance Nowhere to hide Spitting off the edge of the world Out comes the sun Never had no chance Nowhere to run Mama what have you done I trace your steps In the darkness of one Am I what’s left Silver lines whisper to me Wounded arms must carry the load And the kids cry out We’re spitting off the edge of the world Out in the night Never had no chance Nowhere to hide Spitting off the edge of the world Nowhere to run Never had no chance Out comes the sun Spitting off the edge of the world Winds from the sky Never had no chance Will watch us rise
