More than three years after the Basque terror group ETA disbanded, Spaniards are still trying to come to terms with the aftermath of decades of violence. More than 350 attacks believed to have been carried out by ETA are unresolved, accentuating the pain of families of victims. Meanwhile, relatives of convicted ETA prisoners are demanding a change in their conditions of detention. Agreeing on a collective memory of the conflict remains difficult. Our correspondents report.

As a spanish cityzen i have to say that this report it's very complete. The subject is still sensible in today's politics (for all the wrong reasons), but i truly hope that one day our society can reach a middle ground and repair all the damage done to the relatives of almost 900 victims of ETA and the families of the 27 killed by GAL.

In the US in Waukesha in December we had a BLM ‘activist’ drive a car into a Christmas parade and kill 7 and injure 60. But it does not fit the narrative so the media dropped it. It’s frustrating that they value politics over truth.
