Good morning Mario and family 👍 I bought the book, When money dies and I recommend everyone read it. I've been buy more silver and sorting through some coins I already have. I have more than I thought. I was able to gather up a lot of the pre 1920 UK coins. I do hope we never need to use them but its better looking at them than for them.

Well explain thank you for bringing up this video Financial education is indeed required for more than 80% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. The value of the US dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. WHO guarentees the ratio between gold and silver prices? The U.S. gave up trying 150 years ago. Commodities fluctuate in price. People seek to profit from arbitrage. Bad money drives out good. That applies to gold and silver too. PS When you use unknown coins you have to pay a premium. Counterfeit gold and silver is common.

Gold, silver and platinum are beautiful to hold in your hand. There is just something about it that makes you feel right for holding it. I believe a huge reason they want to go digital, besides to track everything you do. Is that nickel and copper are what coins are made of, and with the printing of all this fiat, these prices will rise soon and in turn, it will cost more to make a coin than what its actually worth and therefore, people will take them out of circulation. Just like what happened when silver spiked and our round 50cent pieces (due to being 80% silver) just got taken out from the market by the average joe as they were worth more than 50cents at the time. Mario, I see the FRN being replaced with a digital equivalent for the USD. However, the war is to reconnect the currency to hard assets and follow the east. How that plays out in the US depends if our enemies win which would be hyperinflation and if we win, it will be a conversion to a digital version of a commodity backed currency.

I note that a 1 oz Britannia is denominated as £100 in Gold and £2 in Silver = 50:1 ratio. A sovereign is denominated as £1 and as 0.2354 troy oz. = £4.25 per troy ounce. How about a video to explain where they get these denominations from?

Whats worth more ? A silver dollar bought in 1980 Or the Dow bought in 1980. Owning stocks hugely out preformed gold and silver. Even the last 14 years saw stocks tripple while gold and silver has not even doubled.

yes gold and silver is money but how does it easily perform as currency in day-to-day transactions, would each person need to carry an accurate scale and metals tester in their pockets?? how would change be precisely given for smaller transactions, shave off some gold or silver and hold those shavings inside a sealed container? counterfeits are easily made which of course is also a problem with paper fiat notes

The answer is yes, because sone stocks will surely fair badly, look at Dr Martens and Nike, so the more diversification the better. I fancy wealth managers got very busy after Labour won the uk general election. Id love to know what they say to wealthy clients, rich doctors and such, about gold!

Not enough people are turning to gold and especially silver and this is coming from someone that owns both for many years! Bitcoin is going to win out as its adoption curve is greater especially among millennials you may laugh but thats how i see it. Bitcoin now has ETFs around the world money is poring into them. Its the digital gold for a digital future still not a fan of the ETFs prefer holding my private key in cold storage that way if I need to get out of the country I can take some of my wealth with me! (Can't really do that with gold and silver). I'll still hold onto my gold and probably some of my silver coins

Silver was taken put of coinage in 1965. But it hardly went extinct. Its increased in value 131.5% in the last 15 years and the dollar has lost 34.55% of its value.

If gold is a problem why have Countries, Central Banks, and many individuals been buying it up buy the tons. Especially since gold was made a tier 1 asset again since 2019 .. just for a laugh? If silver was abandoned why have some states made gold a silver money again. And why did, our government in 1986, have the U.S. mint start minting $1 dollar 1 oz silver eagles and $50 dollar 1 oz Gold eagle both legal tender. One of us needs to crack open some books but it sure isn’t me.
