As a expert I can tell you by his color and patterns along with the size and nature .... his name is Jeff, he has been trying to get with some female bee that acts like she is royalty but she apparently has a fat butt and he loves fat butts his friends think that he is crazy but he feels like he is shooting for his dreams until someone apparently filled his nest with some dort of "white hard water" and then he died trying to save his girl.... but that's just my expert opinion

Had one land on my hand this morning. They are, what we call European wasps. They love meat and will hang around BBQs. They tunnel underground and build large nests. Had a large nest removed years ago. Do not squash them near the nest because they produce a pheromone that will cause a swarm. They do have a painful sting. 🇦🇺😁

As a yellow jacket professional, I identify this species as Ouchious Maximus. When stung by the swarm you will experience a high that will make you feel as though your are driving or riding in a vehicle. That is when you know you are suffering from Getyoass to-da Hospitalitis.

When yellow jackets nest in the ground they tend to build more than one entrance. No one I know tries to rid these insects during the daylight. Always wait until dark when they are all gathered in the nest. Then pour a little gasoline in. The fumes will kill all of them.

Yellow jackets are gorgeous. A bit territorial (not like the European Hornets), and their sting hurts definitely more than a bee. While they do collect pollen, by and large they are excellent pest control. If my understanding is correct, the colony except the queen dies off once the temps stay below 45 for a few days. They starve. Towards the end of summer they can become quite "hangry" as they are beginning to starve.
