It's weird seeing the difference between wasp/hornet removal and bee removal. Bee removal is so delicate, making sure everything makes it out. Wasp/hornet removal is death and destruction.

My husband and I, well mostly him, but we used to watch you all the time, but he passed away unexpectedly last Jan. 7th, a year ago, and I haven't watched a lot of "our channels" in the last year, but I have started back watching recently. I have to say, that although I like watching your channel, it stillls creeps me out a little watching all of those bees and hornets crawling all over the place. Thanks for sharing!

But I have moved to California, started college after 30 years, lost over 50lbs, got myself off pain meds, and I used to suffer from agoraphobia, still do, but I am now forcing myself to get out of the house and do things. So I guess you could say that losing my husband, really opened my eyes. I hope you have a great weekend! Thank you again!

I found that WD 40 immobilizes wasps, etc. faster than any of the insect sprays and doesn't get them riled up into attack mode as much.

Yellowjackets are fascinating creatures. I was going to say I'm glad we don't have them here in NZ, but after a little research it seems we do (at least, we have Vespula germanica), we just don't call them Yellowjackets. We just refer to Vespula germanica as the German Wasp. Does Squirrel have a name?

I imagine that there are probably ways to "reinforce" the suit in a way to maybe prevent being stung as much but the more you go down that road the more you probably turn the suit into a wearable oven and your ability to move and work efficiently start to suffer.

I think it would be pretty cool if you could disect a bunch of different species of hornets, bees, and wasps butts and remove the stingers and have them below the specimen it came out of and get a bunch of close up pics to show the size differences and similarities of each stinger. Maybe show the size difference of each specimen compared to its queens stinger of the same family and other families.

Hello Hornet King 😉, another good, very interesting video 😊. You must have a few gigabytes of videos in stock to show us for the low season 😊. A little information for you (I don't know if you are informed) but in Savanah in Georgia they found a nest of the hornet Vespa velutina which is causing enormous damage in France and now in Europe. Well it's 700 miles from home but in France its speed of progression has been calculated at 78 km (49 miles) per year, So... Good luck to you and looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos. My birds free range, so their eggs are better anyway. Happy birds make for great eggs. Wasp carcasses decompose and the soil benefits from all the microbes. It's not a organized compost like you see homestead folks do.

@evanchapmanfanman Oh definitely! If you compared a store bought egg to mine; Store bought are pale yellow yolks, and mine are deep orange with tremendous flavor! Plus, my eggs can last for months without refrigerating; store bought only last about a week and have to be refrigerated

The emus will sometimes eat the nest too. I tweeze larvae early in the season when I don't have a ton of nests to give the animals.
