I used to be able to get this for $59. Still have some bottles left. I love honey crisp apples too. It is consistent, which is not always a bad thing. The Red Spot is just too expensive for me.

Another excellent review. I think that this might be the best of the three "core" spot whiskies. I love that red apple note in there and I think your description of honey crisp apples is bang on. I also get a spiced banana bread note mid palate that just blows my mind.

Absolutely on point...It is very very nice, but not great. I had one tonight.. then an arran 10 and was surprised by how much better the cheaper whisky was...Very nice review though,.

One of my favorite Irish whiskeys. That said on your recommendation I picked up a bottle of Red Brest Lustau. I even found it for just over $100 CND which is pretty reasonable around here so that was a nice bonus. Really entertaining and informative vid to by the way. 👌🏻🥃

This is a whisky I have yet to try. Isn’t it fun that we get to pick whiskies that we like to drink for certain occasions? After dinner... after a hard day... after a sad day... in the morning. Lol cheers

It really good whisky but in my opinion not worth almost 100$... In Europe you can find it for arround 60€ and that is the price I'm willing to pay for it. Great review!

Any idea why they would add caramel colouring to this, Erik? Am I wrong in assuming it would already have a nice natural colour? The casks used seem pretty fresh and active to me. I've never been this baffled by the use of caramel before, just utterly confused as to why they'd decide to do that.

Got a lot of linseed tones on the nose. Might be just me. Great whisky nonetheless! The live stream last night was a belter!. Never have 2 hours passed so quickly!. A lot learned in that time.

I have not smelled linseed oil since 1983.... in high school woodshop. I'm not sure I would recognize it if smelled blind today.

On HOT (and sometimes smoky) summer days in California I look for higher abv whiskies that will do well on ice. Usually that means bourbon. BUT, the Redbreast 12 Cask Strength does just as well. - CHEERS!

For a price tag of 100. O would say there are plenty of whiskys that outperform greatly. Plenty of 40 dollar bottles that are full of flavor and smooth profile. This just isn't it. Red breast 12 over this any day in flavor and price

The RB cask strength 12 is up there with yellow spot, but yellow spot blows the regular RB 12 out of the water imo.
