Parchment paper works great for me but I agree that freezer paper is better because it's thicker and easier to get the soap out of the mold. Ty for this tutorial.

Watched your video on making molds today and just found this one. Very informative. I have DH going through his "scrap" wood pile to make me a new mold! Thank you so very much for the information and easy to follow directions. Much appreciated. :)

You are always so descriptive and precise, about your explanations! It really makes it so much easier, to follow directions. And the intricate creasing, that you do, must help tremendously, in your end results! Great job! But, I will leave the soap making, to you! 😚😍❤😚😍❤

Do you need to apply any shortening to the mold sides to help the paper stick?

Hey Stacey! Great little tutorial on lining the soap molds/. I have a question about your lye pitcher you use. I don't make soap as you know since i buy from you but i love the little metal pitcher you use. I would love to get something similar to use for some other things. Do you recall where you purchased the pitcher?
@YellowCottageSoapery7 жыл бұрын
Tiffany Felkner Hey Tiffany! They lye container is a stainless steel pitcher. I bought it on Amazon. I don't remember if it's called something else but if you search that...you should find it. If not, let me know and I will get a link for you 😀

just curious...What are the dimensions of your soap mold and how to you get the soap out when its ready?
@tms68847 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this! I'm new to soap making, and clean-up scares me to death, for some reason! The lye on my bowls & spoons, etc, just terrifies me. I know it may be a strange request, but could you do a video showing your clean-up process? I would love to feel more at ease with that part of the process!

Hi, people say using paper for line the wooden soap mold will absorb the oil from soap,, means the super fat will decrease What do you think about it? Does your paper not absort the oil? I am trying to figure what kind of paper that not absort oil
@YellowCottageSoapery5 ай бұрын
Hello! Are you thinking of parchment paper? That would absorb oil, I think. Freezer paper is shiny so it doesn’t absorb. ❤

How many pounds of soap do your mold hold? Where can I find a Mold like that?
@YellowCottageSoapery7 жыл бұрын
Teresa Gray It can hold up to 10 pounds. My husband and I actually made these molds so they aren't available for sale. I do have a video here on my channel that's shows how we made them though!
