Yellowstone will break your heart. In three days you will see all the "attractions" but when you leave, that quiet turn of river, that stand of trees, the wandering Bison will call you and you will miss it over and over again.

Wonderful footage! And I know the heartbreak feeling you're talking about. One week every year I visit the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, to hike and camp and fish. I could just sit and stare at those mountains the rest of my life and never get tired of it. And every time I leave for home, I find myself watching the rearview mirror until I can't see the mountains anymore.😆Cheers, buddy!

Thanks David! I wonder if the heartache is part of the joy of it? Doesn’t that sound like a western song?

My brother worked in Yellowstone national park when he moved to US over 30 years ago. No wonder he never came back! Enjoy😎

Sharp cookie your brother, though if I had a job in Yellowstone I reckon I would still be there now!

Absolutely breathtaking! My vocabulary in any language fall short to describe it, I'm so inspired to follow in your footsteps, (or tiretracks). Thanks for bringing this to us. (Btw, I love that you kept the bloopers in, it's all to familiar.) Cheers my friend!

If you do, come in the Autumn, it’s as quiet as the place gets. I sincerely hope you manage it - I look forward to the videos.

Glad you enjoy Yellowstone. I used to live near the north entrance of the park in the early 2000's. Theres so many other places to go see around the park boundary in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.

Beautiful place. I was there 71 years ago. In your travel plans I did not hear you talk about Texas again. A few videos ago you wanted Texas BBQ. Have fun. zane

Alas Zane, the best laid plans of mice and men...After Utah, Arizona and New Mexico by beloved said she was wearied of long distances in arid places and wanted some green and so our route was changed and we find ourselves in Colorado. Like all good things I guess the great state of Texas will have to wait for another time DV.

Talk about fading margins.... Doesn't Yellowstone give one a glimpse into what once was and has all but faded away? A truly special place (even if a bit crowded at times).

It makes me sad in a funny ambivalent sort of way. Sitting in the rental car I am nostalgic for a age long lost but would I tolerate it, would I survive it?
