Easy SUGAR GOLDFISH Tutorial | Yeners Cake Tips with Serdar Yener from Yeners Way

Since I started sharing some simple cake decorating tips with you, I haven't shown you any figurines yet so today I will show you how to make a sugar goldfish. A fish is a fish so using the same techniques with some small changes you can do other types of fish quite easily as well.

Beautiful fish and so very clever to make them so life like. Got really upset when on holiday in China. We were in a Park where they had made a lake with so many of these fish, but the turtles ate their fins. I had to leave the Park. So sad, but thank you for a holiday memory shared with my husband.

That is so sad. The good news is that their fins may grow back, but they need to separate the turtles from them. My goldfish lost most of tail fins to a bacterial infection, they grew back and now he looks very healthy.

For this fish I use Pastillage. You can also use very firm gum paste ( flower paste)

Is it possible to do this with chocolate? Is modelling chocolate necessary or can you just blend chocolate and use it? Thanks
