In fact, they all fit nicely within the true definition of Fascism. There are countless examples of conservative speakers who have either been banned from appearing at universities, or who have been physically attacked and/or doused with red paint and other substances. Not polite debates of ideas, but real physical attacks! Universities often hire the most truly radical criminals or radical Lefties, even giving them tenure, while conservative professors are seldom desired to provide any balance. As for this North Korean escapee, she and millions of others live their entire lives in horrendous conditions and near starvation, true suffering. How can anyone even think of questioning her experience, or the fact that she finds so many similarities with outlandish fascitic restrictions and demands so often imposed or required at many universities? The teacher unions are way too strong. It's virtually impossible to get rid of a teacher unless they've sexually abused or physically assaulted a student. Teacher's also get paid on steps. So regardless how you perform your duties, you get paid a higher step each year. In my town, after a teacher has reached 10th step, which is 10 years of teaching, they are paid over $90,000 a year plus receive 10 weeks off during the summer, 3 weeks off during the school year and every holiday. Plus they get a ridiculous amount of sick time. All this on the tax payers dime!
@AlwysBclosing Жыл бұрын
@@dianepereira1860 school choice could bring it down in one fell swoop with a school voucher program. If teachers connected to the unions are not performing, parents will take their children out and put them in schools where fewer or no teachers are union affiliated. The best schools can offer better salaries and benefits, luring the adequate teachers away from the unions and public schools and leaving the poor performing teachers to compete in the open market Aside from that, it doesn’t necessarily mean teachers unions have to entirely end. Staff in private and charter schools can certainly renegotiate contracts and benefits using their collective power however no more permanent positions and dictating to the parents what will be taught based on whatever wacky new progressive theories emerge. There has always been a battle between good versus evil, like the bitter cold that swoops in to extinguish the warm , evil is always prowling to suffocate and extinguish goodness. We must never give up the fight or leave the battlefield, if we do more innocent souls will be sacrificed to believe in ideology that is perverted and twisted. @danamamma I know what woke means from the vernacular standpoint. Being alert to racial prejudice and discrimination. But I use the acronym because I see people claiming to be woke, but talk using micro aggressions (like the guy that said amen and awomen after praying 😐) and don't do anything that is truly progressive or be an example of how people should treat each other. Then whatever action is taken becomes destructive mob mentality that cost innocent people their lives/livelihoods and nothing changed for the better. Hence, "willingly overlooking known evil".

In fact , it's the problem . . You asked " What is occuring in the US these days? " That's a good question . But it's more appropriate for those folks who attack the capitol . Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to believe her. She has been caught before not being quite "accurate." An immigrant comes to America, obtains her degree at one of the very finest private, Ivy-League universities, has _nothing_ nuanced to say about it, only drops slogans about "woke," claims it is much like being in North Korea again (!), and you believe every word AND you think she is doing the United States a favor. No, she's doing her bank account a favor. That this stuff sells is a symptom of the troubled times we live in, not a solution. Columbia exists as such since the 1780s. Where is your pride? You've lost your skepticism and your pride -- that is "what is occurring in the US these days," and people are making bank for doing this to you. Just because you think she's on your side. A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to my grandson about a black dog in my neighbor's yard, and how he whimpers whenever he visits my German Shepherd near the fence, and my grandson said,"You're being a racist". Then, we had a conversation. The public schools are screwing up our children's minds.
@D-Fens_1632 Жыл бұрын
I have an interesting problem. Two houses over the woman who lives there has a big sweetie of a dog, real friendly, if he sees me come outside he runs over to his fence and wants you to play with him. Then some new neighbors moved into the house next door that's between us and been empty for a while. They're a black family with a mean German Shepard whose only emotion is rage and it's expressed through constant aggressive barking. Now when I go outside the big sweetie of a dog doesn't come to the fence anymore, he hangs back and whines. He's scared to go near the fence. Woman with the sweet dog is putting up a privacy fence on her side and I'm likely going to do the same. I plan on getting another dog soon and don't want this aggressive animal anywhere near it. Would that be taken as a racist move to "build a wall" so to speak? They seem like nice enough people who keep to themselves, I just don't like their dog.
@morganjohnson539 Жыл бұрын
About 20 years ago I was visiting a close friend in SC. While we ate BBQ his daughter heard me mention something about being Black. She said "Don't call yourself that. You're brown." I hope that my subsequent conversation with her cleared up the misconception the school pumped into her head.
@HadassaMoon144 Жыл бұрын
Uh no. It's not racist to put up a fence to hide a dog or even an unattractive yard. It makes me sad that you're nervous that any normal behaviors towards black people may be viewed as racist. If they say something to you, be honest be and say it's because their dog makes you nervous.
