Incredible to think this is almost half a century old. Long time fan (since 1972), but have lost touch with the line up in recent years. No more Steve Howe or Alan White? Jon's voice is holding up remarkably well and Wakeman loses nothing with age. Amazing considering their age.

I will forever be grateful for the cook at the restaurant I worked at who loaned me a half dozen LP's to listen to. It was 1974 and I was fourteen, and my musical tastes were teetering towards heavy metal. When I listened to those Yes, Rush and Pink Floyd albums with the headphones on, I was transformed. While I never got to see Yes live, I did get to see Pink Floyd on the Division Bell tour, and I did go to see Rush every tour from Power Windows to Clockwork Angels. Thanks again Mike James for lending me your records.

I'm almost 62, 9/24. Also have a shout out. Mark Turitz, back then in Bayside NY. The album Fragile. It might've belonged to his older sister Susan. We were in 5th grade. I studied the album, the names of the musicians. The years flew by. The hundred times I went to see Yes play. Falling in love with my high school girlfriend to the new album "Tormato", -1978. All of the decades - many people are gone, but this music...I will listen to this song as I leave the planet.

I was furious when I realised they had dubbed in a fake crowd. I'd been so impressed by the show I'd seen in Nottingham. Some of the best playing I'd heard anywhere. The audience was silent during the music but the applause was enormous at the end of each number. I thought there was a fault on my CD player. Maybe it was for the American audience. Any one know different?
@hogne4 жыл бұрын
Trevor Rabin was responsible for that, and he has apologised for it in a recent radio podcast interview. And I agree with you. I still haven't made it through the blu-ray because the fake audience noise is so disturbing. You can even see that the audience is dead quiet, just sitting there. But you hear cheering and a lot of applause. Pathetic. You can even see it in this video. Too bad, because Yes featuring ARW was soooooo good live. They play rings around the current version of Yes.

@@hogne Totally agree about the quality of the band. Molino sounded wonderful and Pomeroy clearly adored Squire's playing. Maybe they can issue an undoubted version. Some hope!
