Thanks for making this!!! For some reason most of the people reviewing these tablets don’t use Sai or aren’t loyal to them so I’ve heard only a few comment with mixed reviews about the pen pressure not really working well in Sai but and not rly explaining what to do and couldn’t find someone who actually knowledgeable Sai to properly answer or know how to get around it if possible and you finally helped me figure out if this is a tablet I want to get in the future since you explain some ways of getting to work!

I made it work for me! You need to download the wintab driver onto you computer. I don't have the link to it right now but if you poke around in google a bit you can find it! I hope this helps!

@@nuc2726 Actually the word "they" can be singular(referring to one person) and plural(referring to multiple people). It depends on the context. It's something you learn in 2nd maybe 3rd grade because it's basic English.
@nuc27263 жыл бұрын
@@apo3005 I have gotten my information from a very liberal English teacher when I was in High School. She had even taken current political correctness into account during the lesson, and explained to other students that "it might be polite, but it is wrong." She described that when writing formally, you should always avoid using they or them to describe a singular person, and instead go for "the individual" or "he/him." That was also how foreign language students are taught English. Considering you're using the number instead of the word for "one" and the fact that you used "bye" instead of "by," I'll take it that you didn't do so hot in English.

So I just want to give fair warning to everyone! Huions customer support is terrible ahh. I bought the Huion h610 pro and I had it for 2 months then suddenly the pen won't charge or work. I contacted them and no response, besides telling me "make sure red light on" so I emailed them again and got nothing. Thank goodness it started working again. So I was okay for 6 more months. Then something happened and it started reacting where the pen would press down when hovering, and hover when pressing down. Never fixed it and couldn't get any response even with my year warranty ://
@Kitsunebyanothername6 жыл бұрын
I had a very similar problem. I bought the Huion gt-190 display tablet, and after around 5 months, the screen would not turn on. I spent a month trying to get customer service to repair it. They kept dodging my requests by asking me to do diagnostics myself. Finally, after threatening to give them a bad review on Amazon, they sent me a new tablet. I am never buying from them again, but their tablets do work well though.

I didn't know that Wacom had patented the non-rechargeable pen... kinda sucks. I was considering getting the same model from Huion and I do like the fact that they give you another pen so you can recharge the dead one. I've been using the Intuos Pen & Touch and I hate it because it skips and lags sometimes 9_9 Thanks for the review!
@Seelmaru6 жыл бұрын
so far i still have had no issue with the pen dying!! they have a really long lifespan, i honestly forgot they need a charge XD i avoided screen tablets for so long because i never liked the slight lag, but i don't notice it so much with this one (or at least it's so small i dont care lol)
@melonsodies6 жыл бұрын
Lol good to know that the pens have a long lifespan! :D I've only tried on screen tablets once at ECCC when there was a table with the tablets for demo's, I thought they were a little awkward at first but I've heard that a lot of people say that they get work done faster with less mistakes than with a regular tablet. My Intuos just keeps skipping, lagging, and losing pressure sensitivity and it takes longer for me to get work done because CTRL + Z haha. Gotta get me a Huion now! XD

If you're really set on a passive stylus, XP Pen and Artisul both have tablets with them! Look into the Artisul D10, D13, 16 and eventually the 22 (that one is apparently to release soon). The XP Pen 15.6 also came out recently and has gotten some pretty good reviews. There are some older tablets iwth passive styli but I can't vouch for their drivers/performance (and honestly heard the most disappointing reviews from them). I'm personally of the opinion that Artisul is the better bet to go with since the D10/13 have been out for much longer and they're probably the OEM or closer to it than XP Pen. The Artisul 10/13/16 can also be powered by an adequate USB port iirc so that's a big plus, much fewer cables :) Wacom monitors are still a bit better than the competition imo but you can definitely do a lot with these guys as well.
@lin59696 жыл бұрын
ブラドリージョイス yeah the lifespan is long, I use a different screen (ugee) and if I were to draw every day, I'd need to recharge it maybe once a week. Easy to do when you're taking a break. But usually I recharge it every few months since I don't use it constantly. Also, what they have patented is the electromagnetic resonance technology, so other companies are able to use chargeless pens too, if they just figure out a way that doesn't use EMR.
@Oozaru856 жыл бұрын
They didn't patent the pen, they did patent the technology (electromagnetic resonance technology). So as long as other companies don't use that kind of technology, then it's no copyright infringement. Maybe they'll find another way to use non-rechargable pens... who knows.

My husband and I being artist. We purchased this EXACT product. We LOVE it to no end. I hate going back to the other tablet. The only issue with it right now is the Linux support. It's a bit of a pain as Linux knows it's connected and can tell when the pen is on the display, it just doesn't realize, hey this is suppose to act similar to a mouse[this can be fixed with some code, the things is figuring out what code in terminal]. Other than that, it works great on mac and windows. I use Krita instead of Sai and it works so flawlessly with it. It's only a little bit buggy and specifically if you click off to a second screen and then back it would make a streak across the canvas [ this is only on windows also you won't have a problem with this though if your only screen is the tablet, I have dual screen].

Bought the smaller huion tablet for a friend a while back and was instantly jealous of their rechargeable pen's grip. I found myself loving their pen's grip due to the fact I tend to have hand issues. Fun fact: I lied to my friend asking if I could store something at their house for an indeterminate amount of time. They had a mini freak out of this then said "oh you just got a new tablet" as I unboxed it and I responded with "no, YOU got a new tablet." Worth all the hassle.

Oh awesome! Congrats on the new hardware. I had this tablet before and even though I had a bit of cold feet keeping it, I think it's one of Huion's better models. I was able to get a 22HD refurbished for cheap (pricing error by Wacom maybe?!?) but I think I would have kept this one had I known how the two differ at the time. The Huion's cabling solution is much better than the Cintiqs lol (Also to anyone eyeing these tablets, Huion, Ugee and XP Pen have had lightning deals on these tablets over on Amazon US multiple times - this tablet was actually something like 520$ USD, and their newer 221 Pro was even something like 620$ or so. If you're patient you could definitely get it for an even better price.) Also a bit of advice on getting used to this that I wish I knew at first: drawing with a lower stabilizer setting makes your lines much snappier! In fact you could even turn it off altogether and still feel fine I think. I had a big issue with my curves not turning as sharply when I had the stabilizer set to what I was using with my Intuos. Since the cursor will follow your hand movements 1:1 the stabilizer isn't as necessary. I wish I remembered the fix I used to get Sai v1 to work with this tablet, I swore there was one but it's been so long now o(-( Thanks for the cute review!! There are a lot but yours was one of the more enjoyable ones lol

i own the huion GT-220 and honestly they are really good, drivers are a pain and you will have to do some getto stuff to get them running (dumb stuff like no drawing programs open before the drivers, opening the driver software BEFORE plugging in the monitors USB etc etc...) i would hope the second one is a step forward, looks like the pen tracking is WAY better than on the original tablet and if that was right not the box no fiddling with settings then i'd say it is.

It took me like.. Two days to get my Huion pen tablet to work with SAI 1. Ended up discovering that the driver that comes on the disc was very old and had to manually download the driver off the website. Even now every once in a while I deal with the tablet becoming completely unresponsive when I load up SAI and it takes 15 to 20 minutes of fiddling around to get the random solution that I still have no idea what does it. It's a case of you get what you pay for. I'd say i'm a bit spoiled cause I worked with an Intuos Pro since the start (so for about 5-6 years), but if I was to ever invest in my first on-screen drawing tablet I'd probably get a Huion to warm myself up to it. Just the change from a Wacom to Huion took a little getting used to, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on a tablet if I won't find the way I have to work comfortable.

My mom and I are just gonna go with one solution, get the wireless accessory and the universal battery charger, making me wait longer. I was thinking of getting huion, but a few friends told me their tablets weren’t that good, so I decided to go with Wacom. Now I am stuck in this situation, no tablet :’) But really, this review was great! It gave me more information about the tablet, so I am thinking of getting one in the near future.

Its was nice to see a review about that, I would love to get free tablets too actually, but Im really out of my comfort zone drawing on a screen rather than having my eyes on the screen and the hands on a grafic tablet. I have a Cintiq Companion 2, a tablet which is its own computer by wacom and pen pressure also DIDNT work. I was like crying for a very long time over it because the tablet was now useless. But recently I installed Paint Tool Sai 2 and it works now. Coming to what I wanted to note about pren pressure, I dont think we can blame the HUION tablet because the very same thing happened with my wacom cintiq. It might be Paint Tool Sai 1 itself which is not working on portable tablets or tablets in general? (But its nice to hear that its fixeable in this case, I would love to stick with SAI 1 too actually but I tried too much it didnt worked.) To everyone who works with SAI and fears to buy something like this now: There is a Paint Tool Sai 2 BETA now you can use with your license for Sai 1. The way you can work that out can be seen on the SYSTEMAX website (official creator of SAI)
