As far as I understand it, what really is going on behind the scenes is that the Vitality Booster, effectively render you immune to Bleed, BUT you still get the torso wound. -Did anyone try with the Democracy Protect perk ? I think it's supposed to make you immune to bleeding as well no ?- scrap that, there's a mention of specifically torso hemorraging and I have just tried That's because you're not really immune to the bleed that is hardcoded into the torso wound debuff, but reduce it's damages to 0, so effectively, for all intents and purpose, you are immune to torso wound bleed with Vitality. Deadsprint booster is essentially a stronger bleed as far as the code is concerned, so you reduce WAY WAY more than actually the flat damage reduction of 20% should, leading to super duper long time to deplete your health when combining both Vitality and Deadsprint. Or this is a bug and vitality shouldn't reduce as much the damages of deadsprint. Servo-assisted DOES NOT help, because it increase limb health (the threshold at which you receive a debuff), not your core main health which stay 125 and is the values damaged by bleed. Deadsprint bleed given the times shown on the video would be around 5.208333... health damages base per seconds Vitality bring those damages down to 1.041666... per second. (which funnily enough is 20% of (125/24))

Edit : I'll add some more thoughts here; Given what you said, the engine round the numbers to nearest whole, so I would think the Vitality Booster has a Bleed damage reduction of 80%, or has a base bleed damage reduction of 3 but apply the 20% overall first, since base Deadsprint damages appear to be 5/s. IDK how much is the base torso bleed damage, wiki say 1 but I think it varies depending weither you're staying still, lying down, moving a bit, moving a lot, but since it's a mechanic I mostly stim out of existence, I can't say for sure. I would also assume the Deadsprint booster leave you with 5 remaining health to account for the time and health when rounding to nearest whole number. That would fit the measured 24s and 120s respectively without and with the vitality booster. PS, not native, sorry about all those edits, take efforts to properly order my thoughts to be intelligible on complex subjects :)

yeah i'm guessing it's a 2 point damage wound that does a 1 tick 3 damage bleed. bleed gets nullified and 2 damage becomes 1.6 damage and all decimals are rounded down. Servo assisted obviously doesn't work as it has no damage reduction - it just increases the "broken limb" damage threshold.

Theres other cool unusual scaling stuff in the game too The eradicator armor is light armor with the fortefied passive, which SHOULD give 50% explosion resistance only putting you on-par with medium armor It doesnt. It makes you able to outright survive stuff that was one-shotting most helldivers, including back when we had one-shot rockets all the time from devastators I'd guess its an at least 4x resistance, so 75% resist to explosion damage Pretty good since it makes sure the light armor still gets proper protection on its passive

Eradicator and the Fortified passive in general works as advertised. thing is many automaton missiles are mostly ballistic damage that gets dealt only on direct hits. fun thing is all kinds of bile spew on terminids is actually explosive damage and gets reduced, making fortified pretty great for green seed missions (like launch icbm)

Its the best all around armor I swear its so good. I get blasted all the time and take like a pinch of dmg. Considering the bugs spit attacks are explosive as well your really not getting much better in the light class. Ive also been having fun with the peak physique light armor on bugs running around with the regular machine gun but its not great armor by any means lol

What you gotta realize is that the % damage reduction happens BEFORE the armour value damage reduction. I've noticed the same thing with the fire resist armour. It says it resists 75% of burn damage, but in practice its more than that, because of the way the armour calculation works. Lets say you take 200 damage from a rocket explosion. 200 damage -50 from light armour value =150 200 damage/2 from explosive resist=100-50 from light armour value=50. So even though the damage reduction is 50%, because this is BEFORE the damage reduction of the armour itself, its actually more.

If I had to take a guess, the vitality booster probably gives a small amount of flat damage reduction which reduces the amount done by DS to under 1, but the way the game's coded, any damage number under 1 resets to one, which corresponds with the video since 2 minutes is very close to 125 seconds, which is your total HP pool (again, according to the video). Just my guess though, it's interesting to get a peek behind the scenes into the game.

I normally stim to recover stamina on long distance travels, normally I only use 2. This perk would be amazing for heavy armored players since it doesn't kill you if you completely drain your hp. And you would just stim to recover health when you're about to encounter enemies. Just watch out for spike plants, barbed wire, or thorny shrubs while you're running.

The dead sprint reminds me of a booster we used to use in the game Planetside; adrenaline rush. It was super good to use for light scouting when you needed to keep running over long distances👍 as in Helldivers 2 though you did have to heal now and then, but the added mobility is very good in a duo+ when you can combine dead sprint with vitality booster for more running like you said 😀

Vitality Booster also helps with gas/flame damage. With the gas armor on and Vitality Booster, you take basically no damage, instead of just a little. You're health bar won't really move.

This combo is a must for heavy armor users. This is why I find it lame that we didn't get a heavy set on the new warbond. Vitality is used like 90% of the time by someone else, so getting this on top of that is high value (I usually choose stamina booster when I use heavy armor).

People kept saying it sucked. I used light stim armor and was hauling ass with a jetpack collecting samples for everyone. They said it was useless. But joined with the other stims for movement. Youll never be slowed down as long as you got stims. Even heavies move better so laugh and say it sucks. I used to dive off hills to take alittle bit of damage just for what this strategem does. It gives you back your stamina with a speed boost. What i really want is the stim gun to be able to be self shot into your leg or something

You could do a pretty decent heavy assault build with heavy armor and the shield with dead sprint to increase the amount of time you can run. I wonder what has more of an effect on heavy armor the dead sprint or the vitality booster. I know they stack but seeing how much extra run time you get in heavy armor for each one would be nice. Dead sprint also increases the value of the med pistol as medic builds can now shrug off any of the damage taken from the booster.

the problem here is that every single little attack does major damage even with vitality. So sprinting for just another 30 seconds is gonna put in one hit kill range. So still a very niche booster if not bottom tier.

Found this out the second day after the Booster's release. For me, it went from a useless joke to a Booster that I can't live without as I run Heavy Armor builds and I stim on low health anyway, so being able to chip away any excess health AND use all that extra Stamina to full sprint for MINUTES is insane. And, of course, I gain back all health and stamina with a Stim, so it goes round and round all over. Too bad that convincing randoms to bring Vitality is a tad bit difficult...if I'm even able to get any randoms to join.

Honestly, I'm not quite convinced Dead Sprint is really worth it when slowing to a normal run for like five seconds allows you to refill your stamina normally. Or just stimming, considering you'll need to stim after Dead Sprint's effects anyway.

Same effect, armor doesn't affect the Dead Sprint. But it will change your initial stamina, so more running time. But after dead sprint kicks in, 2 mins for all the armors with vitality.
