Now you can do this without abusing a bug, as now fabricators have health pools! This means the autocannon can take down fabricators in a certain amount of shots from any angle.

It's possible that the cluster bomb projectile comes down as one big physical bomb that explodes into the smaller bombs after. If that's the case, then the big bomb is what's destroying the fabricator when it hits. It's similar to how the Eagle Smokes, Orbital Smokes, and Gas Strikes can destroy fabs and bug holes if they land right on top of them. Even the 500kg bomb can destroy fabs and bug holes with just its landing BEFORE it explodes.

The bomb you see in the video in not the clusters if that's what are you referring to. The Eagle releases clusters from the start. The bomb you see is a single 100KG projectile you get from the XXL bay upgrade.
