It looks really polished and well on track to be a big release. I hope it stirs up the open world gacha formula even more than WuWa did, always improving on the genre and bringing new things to it! I like that we now have plenty of great options. Casual combat, chill exploration and some turn based strategy in Hoyo games, but also harder alternatives in Kuro games, then we have GFL2 as an amazing benchmark on 3d anime graphics and a lot more! 2025+ is looking juicy.

their hype is on a different scale too, the reveal trailer got close to 2M views barely showing any gameplay footage. I looked at all scheduled gachas for 2025 and if they intend to release in next year, it will blow the competition out of the water

One of the thing I was excited about Project Mugen is physics. You can use any object in fight and object reacts to you accordingly (falling etc) instead of classic "you touched the box, box exploded in the electrons". In interview a year ago, they said they working on it carefully. I hope they succed with it. And I also hope so that this mechanic is actually worth to do in the game. What's the point of fun if I throw car to my enemy and it deals minus damage?

If you follow their recruitment page, you will see that they are recruiting for many positions for applying AI to games, for example game AI planning, openworld AI planning,... If they can apply it to games I think it's pretty crazy :))

It will probably they will create city with ai, check and fix it, and publish it. Not infinite world like Minecraft or something. So don't get over-excited on that.

Good to see some update. Both NTE and Mugen just recently announced there will be test phase but I don't think Mugen will release first. I'm worried about Netease as they're known to ruin games. All that years of development will quickly be gone if they're not careful.

If I have to guess, P Mugen looks like it has lots of creativity in its combat, like WW, while it also feels really fluid in its animations, like ZZZ, of course, there is still the last testfor P Mugen, they need to show us a fight vs something that isn't a dress up manequin XD like, it doesn't need to look like WW to be referred as if WW had a child my dude, chill :v

That is a big claim to make from them about the status of the game, we'll see how good it is I guess. Honestly I do respect just going in on the grind of making it as good as possible. Though there's a lot of merit to keep your community updated and the hype going, I'm expecting they'll start promotion with as near a finished product as possible then. Hopefully they'll do an online beta test too for stress testing the servers.

Yup! According to them they’re “ready,” which was genuinely surprising to hear. The offline test also shocked me as that’s typically held bearing the completion of the product leading up to release. I guess we’ll see how December goes!

The game looks cool and fun, but the real concern will be on the gacha portion of it. How will the rates be, will characters and weapons be separate banners, and how will the pity system work. And will the game have a difficulty spike that will require multiple dupes of characters that only whales will be able to take advantage of.

NTE looks really bad and generic in comparison, and it's developed by the ToF team. I think it might earn a lot at launch but then fall off in terms of revenue and popularity once the hype dies down. There's no way Project Mugen sees it as a threat, right?

NetEase actually good dev if their project is huge success like Identity V and Naraka Identity V being Clone still survive this day, same with their moba game and interesting thing is Naraka actually being top 10 most played game in Steam which big applause for NetEase as Chinese Dev The only thing we need worry is just gacha itself, most their game actually nothing p2w game with gacha character, but this might be first time they do gacha practice with character So far it's pretty fair how to get skin in NetEase game like in Naraka, Nier collab actually give u chance for F2P to get all skin as long u old player who hold many pull and skin price is only like 5-8 bucks
