Steve Howe: THE most original, dynamic and creative guitarists of the 70s prog rock era or pretty much ANY genre or time. And I LOVE how he's just playing with the song and the audience. Playing it newly and throwing some (albeit quirky) showmanship in there.

This is one of the most disrespectful crowds ever. I think Steve has a right to be mad. Cause acoustic time is quiet time to me. Also I feel since it comes from the heart the musician must be in a decent environment to play their best. This song is one of my favorites

There was a young man in my senior year of High School who had a guitar he carried around w/him & would play it between classes & Mood for a Day was one of the songs he played the most. I fell in love with him & his guitar during the 1st semester, lol. Totally unrequited as he was much too cool for me, but I enjoyed swooning over him & his music that year. 🥰

Is he mad because the crowd is cheering? At first glance I thought maybe some guys of the Yes crew were talking (maybe not band members but the guys that move stuff around?), because when he shushs he is not looking at the public. What do you guys think? Also, it is common that crowds don't stay perfectly silent during a piece, so I would think he must be used to it. (I hate it when it happens on such a beautiful piece, but there's nothing one can do about it).

ya ive seen him get upset before usualy during his acoustic pieces. he doesnt like distractions...and rightly so. but not everybody enjoys them i suppose

It can be a high to low Rasgueado,...although not sure.

it a variation of a flamenco "rasgueo" (strum), it´s a bit his own style but it definetly comes from flamenco influece, and after the "rasgueo" he uses one finger to play from high E to low E, that is very used after a rasgueo in flamenco or to put énfasis to an ending phrase sorry for my bad English
