It was the first studio album since their 1981 breakup and the first to feature Trevor Rabin, and also marked the return of vocalist Jon Anderson, who had quit the band prior to their tenth studio album of 1980. I saw them in the summer of 1977 at Hampton Roads Coliseum in Norfolk, VA with Donovan (Sunshine Superman, Hurdy Hurdy Man). YES was fantastic. "Roundabout" has been one of my favorites since 1971. Jon Anderson singing lead really made that concert special. Had a cast on my left leg during concert.

it's true, about us who were teens in the 80's, for me, mid 80's. Otoh, it was a tricky time, of massive social changes in the West, and of geopolitical changes of biblical proportions. It was not an easy time at all. The music was very new and eclectic, and many performers were doing their best ever perhaps. It was an mind opening decade, i think. After it, harshness emerged, steadily, puncuated by the sept 11 violence and ensuing difficult times, both economically and socially. And now we reallllly see it.
