I'm a solid intermediate and was doubting between the Jones MT / Jones Frontier / Yes Standard / Yes Standard Uninc. Went for the Uninc. I come from a Rossignol One LF 161W and have size 12 / weigh 225 +- LBS. Sadly the board started peeling off and I can see damage on the plank itself... Loved that board. Wanted to take a chance on getting a full camber board and see where it can take me.. and where I can take it 😀 I hope I didn't make a mistake because I can still grow alot in my snowboarding. Thanks for the review!

@@DashFlashTheLife I have both, and Im selling the uninc. I would go for the regular standard if all mountain all day is your goal. I found the PyL Uninc is a good balance between both the regular and standard uninc if sized down. The PYL uninc carves better than the standard Uninc, it floats better than both standards. It turns faster than both standards and still you can take it to the park for jumps, the downside is that switch is more challenging and presses require a little more muscle but still very doable. The Pyl uninc is less aggressive than the standard uninc (with its rocker)

I just bought the regular Standard and i was going back and forth between the uninc and the regular Standard. Now I have to pick a binding I have a new union force or cartel x to choose from. I like the cartel because of its lightness. But I am afraid the union will ride better. I found your review on both boards super helpful and can’t wait to try it. I just saw Wochenende have same boot size which makes me feel I bought the right board. Thx a lot!

Very stick to slushy snow. Would love to ride it on a good day. I love how it carves, I love the wide nose and tail for presses and I have the feeling the base is pretty fast. @@ekgruber I’m almost exactly the same size but 2 inches taller and I love the 162. You’d be fine going down a size but for bigger terrain, deeper snow, and more aggressive riding, the 162 is the jam! It’s wide underfoot but doesn’t feel excessive in the slightest.

Just wanted to thank you for your review. It helped me to pull the trigger on this board and I'm so glad I did. My daily is a Yes Typo and I was thinking of upgrading to a regular Standard vs the Uninc. I decided to go full camber so it would be a different profile from my Typo and I really love this Uninc. Like you said, I feel so comfortable on it, it's stable, not overly aggressive and is just a great all around board. I got it in about 6" of freshies, which is not deep by any means, and I was centered on the board and it was still performing great. Keep up the great work!

I’m not going be flat out all the time but I want the stability when I do…what do you reckon? Also want to be able to butter around and have some fun..kind Regards ps..love the powder but spend more time on groomers and side hits if I’m honest! Not too many mega pow days in Europe 😂

@steveweatherington1209 think I just saw your comment on ten standard review. The greats and standard are pretty similar but the greats carves a little better and the standard handles pow a little better. The Uninc is the best if you like full camber but the standard can handle most of what you might throw at it. No worries about the bases at all. Same as what everyone else is using.

The standard Uninc is not a chill ride. A better comparison to the whatever would be the Yes Greats. Both awesome boards. The whatever is much more forgiving and has better float, the Greats is better on edge. Or you could do a normal Standard for a more “chill” option with a bit of pow performance too.

Oh I get it. Thanks again. You think the Greats or the Standard 156 would do it for size 11US, 175lbs, 6ft (theyre 25.9 and 25.8 waist width)? I love some deep carves... The whatever 156W, which I would choose, is way wider, at 26.8, so I might get it because of that. Cheers!@@Drift-Products

Just remember both the Standard and the Greats are wider underfoot then the waist width would indicate because of the mid bite tech. I'll bet they're as wide or wider than the Whatever underfoot. And both will be better for deep carves, for what that's worth. Happy hunting! @@NilsenMouind

Hi there, really great reviews! Subscribed after the first review I saw... Is the camber feeling of the Standard Uninc comparable with the Warca's? Rode the Warce in 150 couple of times and found it super forgiving and comfortable. I'm 5,9, 155lbs, 265 mondo boots and prefered stance width 21.5-22". Had no problems to get the Warca on edge for quick and short turns. Would the Standard in 153 be ok for my specs? Or should I look for a board with less width underfoot and a reference stance closer to mine?
@Drift-Products
@Drift-Products 5 ай бұрын
@@stresstyp4 it is similar to the warca just has more taper and a fatter nose. If the warca had a normal shaped nose and tail, the 150 would probably be a 153 or 154 so the 153 standard is probably good. As for the width, I love some extra width underfoot and recommend it to most riders but it’s personal preference. I’ll pretty much always recommend this board though, that’s for sure.

I own Std Uninc 56, and Pyl Uninc 55. Definitely, you need to size down in the PYL like DCP does. DCP rides the 155 in BC and he is 170lbs, 5.9. Indeed as soon as I tested the PYL I decided to sell the Std UnInc :) for my quiver board charging all mountain freeride. I have another twin board for freestyle and spring conditions. PYL UnInc is faster edge to edge, PYL UnInc is more reactive/agile, and has more pop. PYL Uninc feels lighter. PYL UnINC carves as hard and even a tad better on ICE. PYL UnInc has a nicer turning experience due to the taper and the fish-like tail. Somehow I got a better base glide with the Std Uninc (might be waxing), The PYL Uninc wasnt a good floater in low-angle pow as I expected, maybe my frame at 5.10 demanded the 157 (here is where I can understand Drift argument on length). PYL Uninc Tail is a regular width and since you ride this board with less angle in the back foot then you can get some drag (the bigger sizes do not help much with width either). The PYL Uninc requires too much muscle to press (but it is not done for that). The switch is doable in the PYL but not as the Std Uninc. Both are stable rides and manage charging, but the torsional flex of the Std Uninc was a pain for my 160lbs. So overall I think all mountain freeride go PYL Uninc, and all mountain freestyle go Std Uninc.

What are your specs? The 162 has a more freestyle feel for sure, but it’s not a whole lot softer, and it might even feel a little more aggressive than the flagship under foot because it’s full camber. Depending on your specs, you might want to go to the 159 for more playfulness, or the normal standard or even the greats.
