The stationary skull coaster thing was originally famous from a Halloween level that CarlSagan42 played. Most troll players have seen Carl get fooled by that one, but I guess it was still a surprise to DGR. Still one of the best silly trolls

The title, into screen, and hub room in "key no die" are all references to the level "Mario commits key die", which is why Dave gets that deja vu feeling upon entering the hub room. There are also a whole bunch of references to other levels in these. Trolling is (F)art is a reference to a defender level, the room with the large boot is a reference to a defense level which has been referenced several times now by different levels, etc.
