In terms of dialogue the best example I can think of are the Ratchet and Clank games. Classic ones had so many adult jokes in em with characters being rude to each other but the new lame ass Ratchet and Clank games are some of the most sanitized shit I've ever come across.

I mean, the Big Cheese himself gives his reasons, but it's all too easy to dismiss it as megalomania (not helped that Caesar even has a below average INT stat). And most of the Legion's reasoning amounts to a lot of psychotic "weak fear strong" Darwinism. Mikeburnfire had made a mod adding various NPCs, including Legion quest givers who give much more practical reasoning for their way of life, such how NCR's reliance on mass-produced commodities like medical syringes that're no longer in production, and their application of modern economics only works when resources are in over-abundance, which also leads to their own citizenry who can't afford such seemingly basic rights to fall through the cracks and rot the society from within.

If the characters looks appealing in at least some way especially in the way they were designed to be appealing in (like kirby being cute) that's good character design. Sometimes characters are designed to be ugly on purpose because it serves a place in the story. Like a main character being born ugly or disfigured and being discriminated against their entire life as a result of it. Like a villian or final boss looking hideous or terrifying, like monsters looking disgusting. Like aliens looking uncanny. Like a character being fat because they're a sumo wrestler and their weight being part of their fighting style. But making characters look ugly or fat for no other purpose other than inclusion or diversity is just bad character design and an obvious example of forced diversity. I think you hit the nail on the head with the Blackrock tie in. If you own 30% of all corporations (food, medical, etc..) then throwing $100 million at a game to influence young people to then buy medical adaptions ($$$) that you will use the rest of your life compared to maybe 1 to 5 years in a game cash system is nothing. People need to stop, get out of the maze, and look at the bigger picture before it is too late. 🛑🧠✌

Baldurs gate 3 is only "woke" if you choose to play it that way, the game doesn't FORCE you to be gay trans vitiligo cripple who solves all their problems by talking it out, you CAN be that... but you can also play as a (much more desirable) hot, chick or badass ripped straight white person who beats everything that opposes them to death with a hammer.

Out of interest: Does Steam DB Numbers Change between EU and elswhere? Because Dustbin had 83 instead of 76 Players All Time Peak and Concord had 697 instead of 660 All time Peak last time I checked. I hope this Chart is right, because even less people played it then, but its strange that there are 2 Numbers for All time Peak Players depending on which YTber reports about it. 😅🤔

Honestly, the only thing I ask for is sincerity. That the creators truly love their own games, and delivering the best version of their vision to us, as lovers of great stories and video games. If their ideas are one of inclusivity and diversity, and they truly do love the gaming medium and are trying to contribute to it, I’m okay with that. I think I will feel it, and I’ll possibly play their games. The end product doesn’t even need to be perfect or shiny. It’s cliched, but the thought really does matter. The recent slew of unimaginative, corporate, creatively bankrupt cynical games that look down on their players, has really made me realize this. I still felt that sincerity from many AAA games up to about 15 years ago. My favorite games at the moment are Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Ready or Not. The next game I want to play is a $12 Unity asset flip which is undoubtedly rough, but it just looks full of love and hard work. Now it’s indie games, and “AA” games that scratch this itch, Aand I’m perfectly happy. The bigger companies will get my money again when they actually start making games again.

You’re video makes good points. I think “woke” is completely ruined at this point by people who call black people in a gta trailer woke. We need a new word for this type of inauthentic art. These games have no moral ambiguity and are so straight forward that it’s so boring. Art can have a political message but in these games it is so manufactured it is almost uncanny.
