Man thank you 🙏 I actually struggle a lot without a mentor, I never knew my father and found my way just fine tbh, I live in an ashram in south India where I Volunteer and do yogic practices so where I ended up is in my understanding the optimal place for me I couldn’t ever imagine being in a more fertile ground for growth. I LOVE David R. Hawkins! He really shows us how our ego clouds our vision of reality in easy to understand terms. This video also popped up as I was letting go of a lifelong fear that was dormant and replaced with apathy. This really helps me recontextualize myself. I always had this feeling that the scale was bad-nothing-good, but in a sort of V shape in that nothing is at the bottom. I was afraid that every time I started getting some since of mastery of myself and I started using the motivation I gained toward things I ended up regretting that I was going the wrong way and that I was just the kind of person who goes the wrong way and that its better to stay in nothing than to try to go up the wrong side. Now I see that the scale is nothing-bad-good (apathy-grief-desire-anger-courage); there is nothing keeping me on the "nothing" side except that I'm afraid to push it all the way. Now I really want to try to let myself get better at things and just do more because even if I end up failing in some way due to the desires and angers that there is something good within those things that I can learn from and grow until there is more courage than blind anger or desire.
