The day before yesterday's video was easier than today's video. 😊 I'm through book 5 already, as I studied using all your books in classes through the Japan Society of Greater Hartford, but I'm going through all the videos now one by one as a review. I'm going to Japan in October and I'm so psyched! Can't wait to go to Akihabara, Shibuya, Harajuku, and then up to Sendai to meet my HelloTalk friend Saori. 😊

I kinda do miss Japanese in 5. I really did love those videos, I watched them all 2 years ago and it really helped me with my Japanese. This also helps too but it's each episode is half an hour long. I do find it a bit difficult to find time and catch up with each episode. I do enjoy these videos but I reached a level of Japanese I don't know where to find lessons online anymore. I think there was a point he was a bit inactive for 2 years but I'm glad he's back now.

Ok. The next 3 videos I will make just 5 minutes or less. Then if someone says they wish they will be longer I will do another 30 min video, and then when someone says they wish they were shorter I will make a 5 minute video and then.... 24 hour marathon where I never turn off the camera.... then when someone says "too long!!!" I will just say the Japanese sentence, and then the English translation and turn off the camera.

Side note: IMO, I strongly disagree about Korean language being more difficult than Japanese! My biggest reason is that the Korean Hangul has the easiest writing system and they're really not hard to learn. Thus, Koreans DO NOT use or need to use Characters (Hanja) anymore in modern days! Japanese is 100 times more difficult just because Kanji exists and is necessary! And how many do people have to know? Over 2000?!

+JHD42. How is K ON? Never got to watch it and it's an old anime. I watched Tamako Market and it's the same mangaka that made K On. Art is the same.
@JHD42
@JHD42 7 жыл бұрын
Ok, I'll try to contain myself to not go completely fanboy and write a complete review here :D Well... I like it. Though sadly there are plenty of heretics out there who dare to disagree. I can't make a true comparison with Tamako Market, since for some reason I only saw one episode of it. (Don't worry it's still on my watch list.) If I remember correctly, the talking bird was rather loud and constantly hogging the attention. Based on those 20 minutes, K-On seems a bit more calm and balanced. (Though it too has it moments.) The basic premise is cute girls doing relatively normal stuff. (In this case (often not) playing music and enjoying tea time.) A dime a dozen, I know. But I think K-On sets itself apart because of its excellent group dynamic. The individual characters are fairly rounded and portrayed consistently. More importantly, the creators actually make proper use of their personalities, really playing the characters off each other. Too many times a show, even IF they managed to create interesting characters, just lets them do their own thing (next) to each other. Instead of actual interacting. I do realise the first season has a few shortcomings. (I wouldn't skip it though.) The stuff I talked about above gets better in S2 and the movie. Also better atmosphere, much better structure of the season as a whole and some very endearing moments. (I'm not ashamed to admit my eyes misted over at one or two occasions.) "An old anime"? Come on! Though indeed around 2000-2005 there seems to be this magical barrier (or more likely, a technical one), before which shows tend to feel a bit clunky sometimes. And sometimes it's like they're written by a different generation. Anyway. No worries there. Sure, their later work looks more spiffy, but this one's still up to snuff. Besides, it's a slice-of-life. It does use quite a lot of tropes, like lazy visual cues, which have been partly abandoned by now. As a nice bonus: one of the only shows which in- and outro themes I genuinely like throughout all seasons! Who cares?! Well... I do. Sort of. Perhaps you've seen Hibike Euphonium? (If not; then stop messing about on KZbin and go watch that!!!) Same studio, different kind of show, but plenty of similarities. Also great interactions, though this time more subtle and plenty of non-verbal or explicit... Sorry, I'm starting to go fanboy. Anyway, if you like one, you'll probably like the other as well.
@Melbester9
@Melbester9 7 жыл бұрын
JHD42. Hibiki Euphonium is some of the anime I did checked in the past. Haven't watched it but I'll look into it. Nah you weren't being fanboy lol, don't worry about it.
