The show is on season 20, so it obviously doesn't have much left. I actually hope they just keep going with this relationship until the end (however long that is). Throw the usual TV rules out the window (ie, "unless the couple has issues/misunderstandings/is bickering then it's boring") and keep them as a cute and unexpected odd couple that adds the "awww" factor to the show.
