Girl yes! The mind definitely changes after kids. Intrusive thoughts are totally normal. We all have them but a person with an anxiety disorder definitely reacts and dwells on the thoughts more. It's awful. I've learned to just laugh at the thoughts and not let it scare me or spike my anxiety. I just roll my eyes and think " that'll never happen " 🙄 Just shows you are a good person and empath and that's why the thoughts scare you. Maybe look up OCD pure O to see if you relate? Kai is absolutely adorable. He looks like his daddy. It's great to see you back on here. I've watched you for years💕

Same, I had them especially with your first child. It’s a love so big and pure that you can’t imagine living without it and therefore our fear kicks into fear even when it’s so irrational. They do go away. For me when my first born was 2 years old I noticed I felt more at ease.

Wow this!! Also feeling every emotion they feel, my daughter is almost two and I feel like I am just now disconnecting from her emotional spazz but when she was first born, she couldn’t cry or scream without me tearing up or ready to have an emotional breakdown with her. This is another sector of parenting that no one prepares you for, emotional stability! 🥹

I can confirm my anxiety increased so much after having my kids. I’ve struggled with it my whole life but it definitely got worse. I feel like intrusive thoughts are natural once having kids. It’s our job to protect them so we naturally are on alert all the time which in turn allows those thoughts to happen. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. It’s the worst 😔 I hope Orange and Blue are doing okay ❤️

Absolutely! Your entire world after having kids is night and day! Everything changes and it’s because the love you feel for your baby is the most intense and fulfilling. Your instinct to protect is at an all time high and unfortunately the mind also thinks the worst as a result. My oldest is 24 and youngest is 7 and it hasn’t changed! One day at a time! Hope your anxiety stays at a minimum. You’re doing great!
