Ammar can only return to Egypt when he is 30, because all Egyptian males under 30 must enlist in compulsory military service. After 30 they are "unfit" to serve. This means by coming back he is at risk. Sad :(

I have friends who are in the same situation but instead in Korea, and if they travel back they may get pulled up at the airport and forced to enlist their military service. Furthermore, even if he gains American citizenship (which he won't be able to) and he still keeps his Egyption citizenship he will still be forced to serve. It's a rough situation.

Watching this after seeing his dad disown him makes me so sad 😥 I grew up really religious but was lucky that my parents support me despite our many disagreements with the path I've chosen. Ammar's story reminds me to be grateful for the people in my life and to push through the disapproval when I do feel it. In the end that gratitude is so much more powerful than self pity. Thank you for your inspiration Ammar!

@@florencematcham-baker1313 guys it's not a real sniper lol 😂😂 It's just a light beam laser , you can buy it as cheap as 1$ in Egypt and it's very popular in the middle Eastern countries.........Just watch some Middle Eastern soccer matches and you will see it alot!
