It probably would have came off easier if your truck was off ground some. Would these make sense on a 2001 2500hd? It has a 6.0 and the body has 300k miles and the front end I did last year and I have clapped it out pretty fast.

Good video! Yes heavy, durable, thick tie rods the better especially for lifted and heavy trucks... People truly don’t understand the concept of this video and why it was made. Why put stock tie rods back on and have them go out again in a few months? Maybe people should own lifted trucks before they talk and this isn’t for their Hyundai or Kia....
@maddguystackerdude7366
@maddguystackerdude7366 4 жыл бұрын
So does it have an upgraded bearing? Sure they look cool but I'm not sure I see any improvement to the failure points on a tie rod. Even trucks that death wobble bad dont bend the bar, they wreck the bearing. Pretty truck anyhow
@ColinMcEvoy
@ColinMcEvoy 4 жыл бұрын
Heavier duty tie rods are less prone to bending and wearing out. The parts are stronger and made of better quality components to achieve this. Check out their website. Not sure what bearing you’re referring to, unless it’s the wheel bearing, Kryptonite makes those for duramax’s as well.
@maddguystackerdude7366
@maddguystackerdude7366 4 жыл бұрын
Bro.. do you know how the little spindle can spin? You know, where the boot is. There is a bearing in that. That is the part that wears out on the rod ends.. I seriously shouldn't have to explain that to you. It's literally THE ONLY PART THAT WEARS OUT
@mattdiaz7214
@mattdiaz7214 4 жыл бұрын
@@maddguystackerdude7366 The part you're referring to is a wear point yes, but its not the reason for replacing the stock tie rods. The reason for replacing them is because the stock tie rods on gm trucks are garbage and are prone to bending and/or breaking, especially under heavy loads such as off-roading or other 4wd use. To put it simply: stock tie rods + 4wd launch = kachow mod

I guess after lifting any truck it's better to beef up the suspension components that are more likely to fail because of the changing geometry. If you overland or off-road it's better to have reinforcement but if you have a mall crawler or a daily that doesn't go off road as much then it doesn't make any sense in actually upgrading.

And another thing why in the world are you heating the knuckle to get the ends out? put your purse down and smack the side and they pop right out. Dealerships are not out to screw you either and if they tell you a part is bad you probably shouldn't wait a year to find out oh yeah they were right and the part was bad.

I guess you only saw the 2 negative comments i responded to rather then the 10+ other positive comments i responded to but oh well. In the last 365 days I've received 270k views, 796,000 watchtime minutes, 2.1 million imperssions, 1055 subscribers and have only posted 6 videos.... I'd say my channel is doing much better then most considering I haven't focused on putting much content out. I see your content is doing well and I wish you the best. Farewell friend.

I have a question that I know the answer too but wanted your thoughts, I have a 2018 ram 2500 4x4, my Tie rod is bent right in the middle, I've heated it and was able to straighten it, I know it's not like new now and will need to be replaced. Should I replace it fast like right now since I do alot of towing with my truck. Also what are your thoughts on the Synergy tie rods

Vince Padilla never heard of synergy tie rods but I also don’t know much about the aftermarket parts for rams, but yea if you’re towing I would get that replaced ASAP. Heating it up and straightening it is only a bandaid but it’s much weaker then before.

Geez. You won’t mushroom it if you flip the castle bolt over and screw it back on a few turns.. and use a rubber mallet to tap it out

I watched the entire video, and I still don't know "why you NEED heavy duty tie rods!!"

Big tires and a lift already ruined one of his factory tie rods, just makes sense to replace with something beefier that will last longer.
