Same thing goes for combat vets. My father is a combat vet, my fiance was a combat vet(he died during his last mission, in what would've been his last deployment), and my current husband is a combat vet. I've grown up around vets. They all absolutely enjoyed it while they were in it. It wasn't until they came home that they realized it fked them up. They definitely sit around and laugh about it with each other. Of course, as a wife and a daughter, I know the nightmares, flashbacks, and mood swings side of war. Those aren't fun. I also grew up in a pretty ghetto city, on a pretty crappy side of town. Ptsd is real. These guys have the same kinda problems as combat vets.
