Being an Indian, I never knew Viking/Nordic songs can touch my heart this way... simply chills whenever I hear the original old Norse songs (in the Vikings series, big fan)... somehow I feel so connected to Viking/Old Norse/Old Nordic culture... don't know why... I feel I am both an Indian and a Viking...

I’m a guy in the southern US who had like 3% Scandinavian DNA on an Ancestry test lol. There’s no real difference between us, anyone who feels it is heathen/Viking. If you feel it, you feel it.

To clarify, I’m making fun of myself in relation to the DNA test, I’m saying you have as much a claim as I do.

Everyone: absorbed by the tragic moment before a war, feeling the last sense of brotherhood Ivar: maliciously smile. Yes, he's insane and i love him for this

I feel like he was happy about it because he knew his enemies weren't gonna fight as hard as his army was when he heard Halfdan begin singing. He knew they'd be more reluctant than his men.

But they should've showed his true disentary disease death....just for shits and giggles. Would've been appropriate. I love Bjorn but I wish he could've had his real death. Surrounded by wealth even though it wasn't "viking" just one characters death not being so gut punching...aw hell who am I kidding it was masterful

Magic is represented so well in this show. It’s subtle, ambiguous and yet just casually acknowledged by everybody.

I just remember getting Total Goosebumps when I first heard this song when watching The Vikings, nothing has changed and those Shivers (with a sense of both Longing and Sorrow) still happen when I hear both the original and the new version. AWESOME!

This was sad, but really good. Brothers on opposite sides, they still love each other, and it's nothing personal, just two soldiers that just happened to be on opposite sides.
