Both Logic Pro and Ableton Live are excellent DAWs in their own right but the difference IMO is the FUN factor. Ableton + Push is just an amazing inspiring combination that just begs for spontaneous jamming and idea generation. It's just a happy accidents generator.

Hi Nelly I love logic and garage band but my biggest issues is they mac computer but refuse to not make any hardware for Logic Pro is just stupid. One thing I find frustrating about logic is how certain hardware just doesn’t consistent’y work and play friendly. This makes creating frustrating especially when you have a crash and lose stuff that ddin’t save. Even after all these yeast iam eyeing Ableton and FL because Apple jsut doesn;t seem to invested in really turning logic pro😅 into a proper pro daw outside of software. Hardware isnt everything but I think it’s just such a huge omission that I can imagine is making them lose customers over the long period. But I could be wrong but it just such a huge void.

Are they one and the same as far as best making, sonically? Secondly, do you use any analog synths or workstations? If not what makes you opt for a midi setup of audio/ analog, real instruments? Thanks bro
@Yhuntermusic10 ай бұрын
1. For sure! 2. So the mpc has a different quantizing system.. Back in the day, the tech wasn't as "accurate" which led to the unique "swing". I'm more so relying on my natural "feel" without quantizing perfectly to the grid. 3. I'm using VST's right now because they are really good capturing the vintage vibes. However, I do plan on building up my analog synths!

Man, God is good. I'm literally considering switching from logic to ableton specifically for performance.

Why not just run them both in rewire then you have the best of both worlds ?

I feel like they may sponsor you but the workflow is better for paid musicians that need to work quickly and have a higher level of expertise.

Also, if you are using a Beta version its impossible to advertise for the product because its not public.

Logic can do all of this tho 🤷🏾♂️

Not “all” 🙏🏾

@@Yhuntermusic the loop feature I believe so because I made beats and arrange songs like That before. I don’t have a midi controller but during the remix plugin and beat breaker plugin I can get all of this done. If I’m mistaken my bad then

@@Lifeisripe Better way to look at it is “similar” but not “all”. Logic doesn’t have a designated controller (from Apple) that allows you to control it. You can’t create Effect Racks and assign custom effects to a macro knobs. Beatbreaker is dope but it’s not the “equivalent”. There’s a lot more I could list but the last thing I’ll conclude with is: Logic is NOT a performance tool. Ask people who’ve tried it and encountered crashes 🙏🏾
