There isn't much character who can beat Ichibei. Even Aizen without the Hogyoku would have lost to him, but since the Hogyoku is made of fragments of the soul king, Ichimonji is useless. If you doubt me ready CFYOW where Ikomikidomoe obtained a fragment of the soul king and Ichimonji effect on him stopped.

I like to think that Yhwach couldn't use Almighty before he reached the soul king's palace because he would have been revealed and dealt with by the SK. Since he was already at his doorstep, though, it was too late for them to react. It's like walking with a nuclear bomb.

@@danielszocs7537It's a headcanon and idk why Kubo did this. Cause Ichimonji and Shirafude Ichimonji is different. Also Futen is Unique ability, where no matter what you do everything you have will become black then it's Ichibei. Ywach used Almighty alter power to kill Ichibei.

@@ty814 But if you think about it. Even the Almighty couldn't see anything about the soul king. ☠️ Ichimonji lost to the Almighty and the Almighty lost to the Soul King's powers. Kubo gave the inputs in the CFYOW novel so you can't really say its fully headcanon.

Remember ichibie didnt know he regained the almighty again. But im sure he would have had a back up plan if he knew. Hes like 2 million years old.

I think he does. When he came back after Ichigo and the gang came up to the palace. When they were fighting ywach he was monologuing like it didn't matter who won, he already had a plan to make sure the world's stay as they are. "That's what peace is all about, isn't that right; ywach"

Considering what it takes to take out every sternritter they all have "a" the asspull. And all require deus ex machinas to deal with, this was the biggest problem with TYBW. Fun arc, but also incredibly stupid.

Actually no. What truly saved the qunicies is the fact the stole their bankai. If that never happened the qunicies wouldn't of got off so easy. They still would put up a good fight tho.

@@WestbrickFansGotNoBrains Some of those fight feels like a drag though. While the new tybw is either direct adaptation to the manga in terms of pacing or making it slightly longer. Unlike the old anime which is a long running show, the new tybw anime is a seasonal anime divided into 4 cours. So they should wrap anything within 48-50ish episodes more or less.

@@presixnine yeah same anime but the pacing is very different. bleach isn't as draggy as naruto, they should cut it down but not this much. at this point the fights feels like a 12 episode anime.

@@WestbrickFansGotNoBrains Because it is 12 episodes anime being divided into 4 seasons. Like wthout the filler arc and anime only additons, I can see the original bleach anime's durations or total episodes counts being cut in half. Because that's how short most bleach fight is.

How tf is it so difficult for y'all to understand? Uryu without any amp was the first character in the series to defeat a bankai. He's trained intensely in the old ways. Quincies derive their power from Yhwach. Uryu is a special quincy as he's the only one to survive auswahlen from before Yhwach's assault. He may even possess the fourth iris of reio. Him being as strong as he is after drinking Yhwach's blood is to be expected

He's attacking between the moment he sees the future and switches to the present. So he chose the future where he forsaw the outcome he wanted and then acted on it. We only see the outcome. At least that's how I interpret it.

He not only can see every future, but choose which one to apply. If there was a future where Ichibei died in pieces, Yhwach just applies that condition now. In the manga we see it with a certain bankai: Yhwach says “every bankai has dissapeared in the future, so yours is broken now”. He’s right, maybe at the end of times there’s no shinigami nor any bankai left. Well, he applies that logic in the present to break a bankai without touching it.
