This is my view on YSG. He's still good to use in SoC if he is expertised and double relic. Although for new players I would not take him past 5111 if you are are going to invest in 1 legendary commander for kvk1 and 2.

zhuge + ysg is most noobiest pairing ever. No march speed, no defensive ability. Most glass cannon pair. It is okay for canyon but never pair them in the openfield. Zhuge + Thutmose is even better than Zhuge+YSG for openfield.

@@siyahkedilucifer if you are in a ball why do you need march speed you attack in unison. Also the damage is so insane that it trades well. I enjoy it and that’s what matters. Playing the game for fun. I also have fun attacking infantry players with that match.

Tbh I'm just gonna buy growth fund which will be my only purchase and farm a lot of gems, trying to expertise him mid kvk1 and then hope for a good time in kvk1-3 later I'll simply use him with scipio prime and done

I simply love him. I got him expertised before kvk1 fights, so I could get the max value of YSG, I'm in kvk2 right now, I chain at least 2h-3h a day and I already got the return of my investment on him based on speedups, rss, fun in wars. Another good thing of having YSG is that I guarantee a good archer march with Zhuge and I have other 600 heads(expect to have around 900 by kvk3 infantry wheels) so I don't regret spending al I had on YSG!

I think it would be helpful for us to have a guide on getting those blueprints. Im a new player going to kvk 3 and haven’t seen a guide specific to how important the equipments are and how to get them and what equipments you should have on soc as a new player. Appreciate your efforts.

minamoto with ysg also a good pair pre-kvk3. even with a 5511 minamoto that you can get very cheap in the grand scheme of things, even though it's not a f2p pair option. not sure if it's a better pair than saladin ysg, but it hits hard and is one of the top5-top3 best pairs for openfield in my books before kvk3 and also the advantage would be that you can use it in kvk1 as well (maybe the best kill machine option for kvk1).

I wish his relic was like leadership ones buffing all kind of troops, he would be great to use with cavs but with that march speed is really hard to micro manage him specially if you have 3 or more marches

i would keep cav and infantry balanced to be safe because cavalry and infantry commanders getting updates and if there is a new cavalry meta then you would have to focus on cavalry again

one more category of players that could invest in ysg (something that i noticed myself as being kindof fun to do) is the older jumper players that from soc decide to go back to a pre-kvk 2 kd. Assuming that they already have a good amount of kvk3+ commanders in a good spot, if they want to have fun in their refreshed kvk2, or kvk2s (if they plan on jumping again in the future) they can go ahead an expertise ysg. Second commander to focus in the similar situation would be working on alexander that is currently very usable even in kvk3 and soc paired with the correct commander

I have a restart account and YSG is definitely worth it in the long run, I managed to hit him 5524 in KvK 1 and expertise in KvK 2 and as a low spender having a decent comms that is expertise is definitely better than KvK 2 comms that is 5511. Getting good trades because of AoE and in all honesty It's not a good Idea to duel or fight a very small skirmish with him and only massive battles that are cramped together will give it higher value. Of course I don't use him as primary and good enough to pair with Mobility comms like Mina/Saladin or Tank RC/Martel/Alex even if it's 5511 so long as decent tech and equipment that is.

I think if you play this game constantly thinking about the end game, then you end doing nothing but hoarding (and possibly losing). If you're okay with that, then skip. Otherwise, enjoy YSG until you move on. This isn't a business, it's a game, no matter how much some people spend. Enjoy the game!

Ysg invest zl invest no save for zl you dont need him in kvk. 1 sun tzu can be your secondary for any infa comm kvk 2 and 3 you get zl

Well...if I didn't expertised YSG before kvk 1 I would not get 25m sev/kills for kvk 1 and 2. I also recuperated loads of the GH invested because I could compete in loads of events like arms master Lohar and many more. He is a really good commander early if you are mid spender if not suffer for 2 kvk's with epic commanders
