that's exactly what happened, there was an ending that made sense, they cut it, seemingly a whole dungeon they cut (the one where Alex is carrying a bomb and fighting robots) which based on the footage would have given closure to Sammy's dissapearance

@@iodinex64 You only grow as a writer by fucking up in silly ways. The game suffered mainly from a problem of high ambition, from how the dialogue is all super long, clearly trying to be something more than just flavour text, to how many different ideas the game tries to tackle. They came very close to achieving something cool with many of the ideas, but being one step away from having something cool with 100 ideas means that you have 100 ideas that fell flat. I highly respect something that tried desperately to achieve more than it realistically could have but fell short, and what it shows is that they could make something amazing, there were a lot of moments which were super good in the game, even if half of them were undercut by something out of place.

I just love this track, so so much. I desperately hope that it shows up in the Version 1.5 Update, because god it is good. The *name* is what interests me the most, though. "Krow Battle Theme". This... Gives me the impression that Marlene was going to have a much bigger role in the game, combined with the beta Essentia gameplay where she uses him in place of Panda and Dali. And obviously, the ending song of the game, "The Machine and the Crow", which names him as well. Here's hoping that 1.5 gives some new life to the game, and a chance to see some of this sleeping potential realized!

Given that both Marlene and Krow are implied to be figments of Alex's psyche similarly to Panda and their primary place being within the Mind Dungeon, I'm given the idea that maybe they were supposed to be a bonus boss for completing the Mind Dungeon ment to represent Alex overcoming even himself or something like that?

Pretty bad game if you consider how much better it could have been with that size of a team. Gameplay designers were just awful along with the writers. Music's nice though. Everything else is bad. The game really doesn't deserve any merit except for the music. The devs suck too with how they are handling criticism. I can 100% understand why Toby Fox deleted his tweet about the game. Even he was disappointed.

I guess, you have no idea, how much work a game like this is, even if you don't like it. Most people aren't even able to produce the assets (music, characters, etc.). It has a interconnected world, the world changes based on the progress, there aren't many major bugs, especially nothing, which accidentally deletes the game or softlocks you forever, and you can finish it. These things can also be very difficult to implement, especially for a game of this scope.
