I've tried this product (but I'm not a full coverage addict), but I love how it makes my skin so flawless on natural lighting even though I have big pores. My PIH will still show through but for someone who likes a light foundation to wear every day, this was amazing.

I think how Nikkie applied it made it more than a sheer vail coverage wise. With the brush and the beauty blender. I like to apply foundation more sheer even if it claims to be full coverage to look more natural. We all know Nikkie loves to cake it on and that’s totally fine for her! 🖤

I think you need to pass on reviews of light to medium foundations. They aren’t your thing and by trying to make them be something they are not seems very stressful to you. We don’t mind if you skip them, as a light foundation user I don’t come to your channel to see light foundation reviews, I come for your loveliness and artistry.

Very tactfully put. I am also a light to medium coverage foundation girl, and it isn't fair that so many people in the comments are saying "it's cheap and marked up because it's not full". I've tried many light and medium foundations where the pigments didn't mesh well with the skinlike finish, or the lightness of the foundation caused it to break up later in the day. I think having a high end option is nice too. just saying, quality isn't solely equatable to pigment density... different people look for different qualities, which is why she stresses that this could work for others.

Sam Nicol I agree. She’s getting SO much unnecessary backlash bc she doesn’t prefer a light to medium coverage. She prefers a full coverage. I’m personally right there with her. The lightest foundation I own is the Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation & even then I build it up to a light full coverage (I do two layers). I prefer a matte finish but honestly I don’t necessarily mind if it’s a satin (I try to stay away from dewy bc my oily prone skin), then just use heavy powder and I’m good. People are bitching bc she says it’s not her preference. They are saying things like “it doesn’t claim to be full coverage”, “why does every foundation have to be full coverage”, it’s like “DUH 🙄 that’s HER preference & the point if her review. It’s HER channel, anyone can start their own channels”.

Which is why she kept saying what SHE preferred and liked and how this foundation was not right for HER and how she felt like for people with even skin or that were comfortable with their skin might be perfect but it was not it FOR HER because she likes coverage so much. It’s just that a people tend to say that extra pigmentation costs more to produce so our minds, mine, at least, seems to be trying to defend the hefty price with thinking, maybe it’s more expensive to make (its really not). To me, personally, I don’t think it’s worth it. Not because it isn’t full, but because spending that much on an effect that I can get for $7 seems like a rip off.

I don’t think a “high standard” of foundation should be based on how much it can cover because I think overtime as we use it more, it may tarnish the way we see our own skin. While makeup is a mind blowing form of art, we should consider letting our own skin shine through sometimes ☺️

Pat McGrath is KNOWN for making skin look fresh with light coverage. and on the red carpet, you don’t want heavy cakeface because it WILL run under the hot lights and all your smile lines and texture will be emphasized in camera flashes (go look at James Charles for the Met Gala as an example.) Fern Young this is actually true. Standards for runway, social media and consumer makeup can all be different. The Pat McGrath foundation can still do justice for social media makeup even if it was formulated to be more for runway. There’s a lot of difference when it comes to backstage makeup and the regular/social media oriented makeup and I was shocked to learn a lot of things they do differently backstage. In the end it’s also all about preference, really. The least Nikkie could do was to tell her audience who it was best for and she did, which justifies her not-so-good review on it.

I feel like we can't forget that Pat said that this line was formulated mainly for the runway and for artists to have in their kits. So it's designed to stay put under a lot of lights; look almost like 'no make-up' make-up, like Nikkie herself has said that on the runway, you shouldn't be able to tell that the model is wearing foundation; and will work well with mixing other products, like what an artist will do when working on a client.

I've been watching Nikki's videos for a while now and I never notice anyone praising her English. She grew up in the Netherlands speaking dutch and learned English with a flawless accent that when I first started watching her videos I thought she was 100% American. English is one of the hardest languages to learn so GOOD JOB NIKKI!!!!!

Not every product is gonna work for everyone, and for the price point she SHOULD voice the issues she had with the product so that people with normal incomes don’t splurge on a 70 dollar foundation. You definitely used too much foundation to try to build it up to full coverage. Probably why the base is disturbed when blending powder over top. Try it how it was meant to be used and it might work better, even though its coverage is not what you’re into.

If I want sheer coverage foundation there are soo many more options that are waaay cheaper.. and also dont't mess up my bronzer/blush/highlight. So yeah it's not for people who like full coverage foundations but basically also not for those who like their face products to stay on ... just get a cushion foundation for 10-20 bucks and u have light to medium coverage without the side effects. I very much appreciate this review also for someone like me who is all about that light coverage... also pat mcgrath stuff is way to overprized anyway so if it's not magic in a bottle I don't care for it.

Jenna Reynolds nikkie is a full coverage girl..she uses the techniques she prefers when applying makeup..it’s simply a matter of preference. Is this your first Nikkie video? She does the same technique with basically every foundation she tries because that’s what type of artist she is.
