Thanks a lot for this lovely class, Kristen! I found about the doshas because we chatted about it as I made a comment below your yin for headaches/migraines video. Since then I took a test and I got the result that my dosha is vata (and I have migraines and tinnitus). So, I would like to ask, should I take classes like this one in order to balance the other two doshas, or should I work with the vata? It wasn't very clear to me what the results of the test mean and what I should do. Thanks a lot in advance! xx

Yes, I remember! My perspective is that ALL yin yoga practices balance Vata dosha, because it's a slow, grounding and meditative practice. With Vata dosha imbalance, the best approach is to soothe, calm and balance your nervous system. You want to move energy away from the mind, and down into the breath and body. You want to enhance the earth element, and let go of all that excess mental energy to find a greater sense of stability. So lots of space for stillness, and to process subconscious stress. I do offer yoga therapy sessions online that guide people into practices that are right for their mind body balance. You can email @ art.science.light@gmail.com if you want more info. In the meantime, try this practice that includes nadi shodhana (alternative nostril breathing) at the beginning, which is an excellent breathing practice for Vata: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZvXm6CaormrrpI
