@MaximumMadnessStixon
@MaximumMadnessStixon 5 жыл бұрын
@NeverMindGaming Nope, that's not how it works. When you buy a movie, you're essentially paying for the right to view it yourself, or with family/friends in a home setting. A public screening is an exception, and generally requires a license or permission from the copyright holder. (With some exceptions on a case-to-case basis... ex. educational screenings and whatnot.) Given they arranged to have a premier for _Spring Breakers_ , it's probably safe to assume they are purchasing licenses for their screenings.

My highschool cafeteria would have been a better place for this. Bigger, cement floors on the first floor (no basement) and no poles all over the place blocking the screen. Probably have to get a sound system rented, which may have been too much for these guys.

From a brief glance its $40 for a ticket, $200 for a private hot tub, then I suppose the money from drinks goes to the bartenders that were outsourced (idk how catering works so no clue if the hot tub company would get a cut of the money but it seems highly unlikely), they torrented the movie (even so, at most it probably would cost was $20), nonetheless no matter the experience they earned a decent amount from the event and they're supposedly a fairly big, successful company, I hope the first floor business and the venue get a good chunk of money from them so that they can repair the damage

On the other hand, surely the venue was informed of what the event was before agreeing to host 5 nights, each 3-4 hours . If they thought that water on the floor was going to be a problem, then maybe they should have said no to the Hot-Tub party.

@@lukaszspychaj9210 well if they drain and clean the hot tubs after every showing, have a decently built larger venue with plenty of drains and water right seals around electrical areas, and actually delivers on promises like poolside ordering then nothing. One of the biggest issues with a venue like this would be 1. Cleanliness and the prevention of spreading STD/STIs via pissing(or potentially more depending on how badly the night goes. Broken glass spilling blood into the pool, 50 shades or Magic Mike playing…)2. Water damage on the venue either directly or through increased humidity and 3. Potential hazards via all the water. Tripping, rashes, any number of issues I’m sure OSHA would want to speak to you about. Though if you can manage to bring those issues down to a manageable degree or even eliminate them, then I think it could work.. but in a realistic scenario no. For your backyard with friends? Yeah! For a public commercial venue…. Eh

It blows my mind that you can get a single ticket for $40, and from what I understand, they will stuff in you in a tiny hot tub with up to 4 TOTAL STRANGERS? You just sit there for 2-3 hours, stewing with a bunch of randoms? That's something you pay TO DO and not to AVOID? It's mind boggling.
