Maybe if the step dad downloaded Word Farm Adventure, he would’ve never resorted to being ab*sive. He could take out any and all stress on the crossword puzzles *and* help restore the villa to its former glory. Very productive and safe!

Moral of the story: if your father's an abusive misogynist, just wait until random circumstance puts you in a position to earn enough money to pay the rent. After that, he'll abruptly see the error of his ways, stop abusing you, and see the skill he once dismissed as "man's work" as something useful. Also, if your sexist husband is emotionally abusing you and your daughter, just do nothing but give empty words of comfort to your child until things resolve themselves.

Imagine if the twist was that the only reason she was the high schooler in said competition was because her dad was a millionaire. Truly the moment I heard that cocky ass "haha WHO CAN INVENT CARS WITH ONE HAND AND EAT WITH THE OTHER" quote I was rooting for the step-dad man.

This episode definitely seems the most Dhar Mannish considering the moral is you can fix any problem or any problematic person by showing that you can make oodles of money doing the thing you were being verbally and emotionally abused for. This is literally just the Dhar Mann video about the girl gamer but they replace gaming with designing cars.
@MrBookworm012 жыл бұрын
And make the unsupportive parent even more abusive, making their easy "redemption" all the more infuriating.
@FerHivore2 жыл бұрын
It’s weird to see channels like this and Dhar Mann peddle the same morals that seemed to be playfully presented in Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer back in ‘64-once your oddity earns a profit, all the people who mocked it will like you.

I don't think the subtitles are outsourced or auto generated. I think the script is written in one draft with no revision for typos or missing words, and then the script is copypasted directly into the subtitles, typos and all, without accounting for the actors paraphrasing the lines
@Rurike Жыл бұрын
Eh, some of these mistakes seem a bit of a stretch even if their just rushing out the script. And thats coming from a dyslexic. Seem more mistakes an ai messes up or non native english speaker makes.

5:30 What Adum says here is kinda true, most companies outsource the captioning and other writing tasks to Indian companies because they can have the job done "overnight". Sometimes the employers pass that work through another company that fixes their mistakes before publishing, but some don't even bother

The way this guy (Gen Hope guy) wraps up these videos with narration really reminds me of in school when you had to finish the story or something, like a 4th grader scribbling down, "and then the mean dad got anger-management classes, and then they were a big, happy family, the end!" It's the only part of Generation Hope that I cringe at instead of laugh - I hope he doesn't actually think he's doing something great with his storytelling, that would seriously be embarrassing...and also sad.

And then you have just the cocky daughter with her weirdass Tony Stark car designs. Which probably would have fucked over countless people who'd studied for years probably aiming to repay their student loan debts from college, while also giving them an internship. All because this millionaire girl magically came out of nowhere stealing their opportunity with a weirdass sci-fi car.
