I love doing my nails in gel! Because I never gave to worry about mix ratio, just diff size beads of product. & when working on long nails to help put that apex where it needs to be I'll have my client or myself turn the hand upside down so that gravity puts that apex where I need it to be for structure!

The tip on freezing outside the lamp to avoid heat spikes is a game changer. I have a lot of clients (including myself) that will quickly pull their hand out of the light due to heat spike! So I usually have to apply 3 thin layers of gel to avoid all that and this kills my time. Thank u Tracey!!! 💕

@annabor10006 жыл бұрын
Stormy -The Cat Lady yes you can use an efile or nippers to take them off. Unless the customer wanted the same rhinestone design then I suppose you could do a backfill and put on more rhinestones. But generally you remove them first yes

Hello! My problem is my clients get Apex bubbles after a few weeks and I always have to buzz them out 😧 like lifted bubbles but in the middle of the nail! It's not always but it does happen a lot and I have no idea why! They're never broken, they just lift underneath and I don't know why.. It's not the prep or anything because they're always fine for a few weeks! I need some advice ☹️
@youngnailsinc6 жыл бұрын
Hello,those kinds of things can happen for a couple of different reasons. It can happen when the clients nails are too long for their nail bed and the weight is displaced causing them to lift from the middle out. The other thing that can cause this to happen is if the client jams that nail, that too can cause the nail to lift in the middle.

Hi, im new to this, is your brush wet? If so with what? Water? Acetone? Regular remover? Would that impact the integrity of the product? Thanks in advance, anyone! :)
@youngnailsinc5 жыл бұрын
Your acrylic brushes should be cleaned with just monomer. If you get a stubborn clog you can let it rest in your monomer to break it up then wipe your brush clean with table towels. Other chemicals can damage the brush hairs.

What's the best way to prevent rings of fire when drilling I haven't used a drill before and am going to learn soon
@ladylotusinc6 жыл бұрын
Brenn Honeycutt Lower your speed and frequently move positions. Never stay in one spot too long. That's what's causing the burning. If you're using the correct bit you don't have to run a high speed.
@youngnailsinc6 жыл бұрын
Great question. Just like with a hand file a light touch and never holding it in one spot is important. The correct bit for what you are doing is also vital.

Ok but I’m curious how you work with a naturally high arched nail and add a proper apex without making the already arched nail look super thick but maintain strength and she likes long stilettos to boot
@1ycj5 жыл бұрын
First time watching but am impressed with your explanation of the location of the Apex. This is why I prefer doing my own nails. Went to the nail salon last week and mentioned about making my apex area strong to prevent breakage and the Asian tech didn’t even know anything about the Apex! She said to me what’s that? I’m learning a lot from the videos on YT thx so so much. I’m subbing👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

How come you don’t go all the way to the cuticle? It looks like they are about 2 weeks after a new set and ready for a fill.
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
When you apply any artificial product (acrylic, gel, gel polish, or traditional polish) you do need to leave a slight space between the product and the cuticle for it to adhere properly to the nail and not get lifting. When you see nails done on video, it looks farther away than it really is because of the camera magnification.
