Sculpting gel can be used too but it’s basically the same product. Always use builder to create the free edge.

Even if using tips to make the extension instead of sculpting, you would still prep the same, remove shine from the tip as well. Then apply your base gel and whichever build gel you were wanting for the look you are going for. You need that gel to build the strength and structure of the nail like you would with acrylic. Think like whatever we do in this video after the free edge was built is what you would do on top of a tip.

What acrylic brush do you guys use looking for a good one that lasts

When any of the young nails team is shooting an acrylic video they use the young nails artistic sculptor or the young nails pro acrylic sculptor brush. They're both roughly a #9 brush and in most (newer) videos you'll see the artistic sculptors wooden handle. If they're doing a gel video, like this one, they use the young nails gel sculptor brush. I personally have the artistic sculptor and the gel sculptor brushes due to buying their respective kits and I wouldn't dare say anything negative about either brush. Xo

It's a personal preference. White Sculpture is going to give you a very bright white free edge. Unfortunately Snow has been discontinued, so if you do prefer a softer white, you can mix your White Sculptor with some Clear or even the Cover Pink or Peach to tone it down for the Baby Boomer
