Thank you Greg for your teaching post. Young Nails is all my husband allows me to purchase. He sees the significant improvement and confidence in my nail journey. I get more teaching from you guys than actual nail school. 🥰💅🏻❤️

I watch a lot of these videos, as an Esthetician, but not a Nail Tech, and really wish I had someone like you near by, to really show me up close and personal ‘How To’ & to ’Correct’ nail mistakes! I do regular nail Manicures, but I am sooo interested in learning how to build Acrylic nails, Gel and Shellac .. to shape and correct, in the very best way! The courses and schools closest to me are a full days drive away! So that sucks! But I am determined to learn by watching you, as much as I can, to practice on my Silicone hand, but then again them nails don’t like to stay put lol …. might need to find something else! Thank you so much for taking your time to help others like me to learn and perfect this skill!♥️ Your time is Greatly appreciated!

I practice building a Nail on a form with the Arylic powder and I did file a notch can I fix it with a little bit of Arylic to reinforce my nail
@bnailed6035 Жыл бұрын
#youngnails do I need to place another form on my Arylic extension where I have filled a notch 🤔 also do I need to protein bond ontop of the existing Arylic or just wipe my brush with the monomer on it to help with adhesion

Does your nail file or emery board have to be stiff and sturdy or flexible to file acrylic nails?
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
Our files are firm so you can get even pressure for a smoother surface. If you use a file that's too flexible, you won't get consistent shaping.

I don’t know why, but whenever I file after the product is laid, when I file on the sides, it seems to make a wall. I’m not sure how to explain it. I end up making a tiny wall. Should I be filing more from the bottom rather than the side? I’m always so worried about cutting the client, even though I always use another file to dull down the sharpness.

Mine always round out. I am not good doing almond and ballerina. You all say straight. The file is not straight, it looks diagonal. It still confuses me.
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
When you are doing a coffin shape, you do bring the file in to taper the free edge, but you still file straight. Watch the section at 1:05 to see how he "bows" the file or files in a rounded motion. To keep from bowing out the sides, you need to keep the file in a straight motion, even if it's tapering in the free edge.
