There is something so funny about characters that are clearly from child media, interacting with the real world, but they don’t let their innocence become corrupted. Like that moment in TJVP is funny because the gang got captured but they don’t care, and still maintain that childlike whimsy. Now that I think about your comment, if there was a 'villain figure' in this franchise, it has got to be Plex. He can just tell his friends about something, and they become easily influenced before he just takes it away. By doing so, he is preventing his friends from critically thinking about what they have learned, making him a manipulative influencer who has (almost) complete control over his subjects. Well, it depends... He can use it for good, like keeping his friends innocent, or he can take advantage of his abilities and use it for his own benefit.

I vividly remember there being an online Yo Gabba Gabba platformer game that I played the hell out of. this show appeared in my life when I was transitioning from little kids shows to more "big kid" shows, yet I could not look away from it. especially with my older sister having a crush on DJ Lance and then seeing Jack Black and MCR (she was in her emo phase at this point). Every snowflake's different fucking SLAPS. I loved when Elijah and Weird Al were on. this show was a hell of a trip.

15:50 all I could think about in this part was the movie “Robots” from 2005 where when the kids aged up they got new parts/upgrades for whatever they were doing, they could also switch out parts if they switched jobs.
